    BetJam's 16% rebate vs Matchbook's good lines
Should I go with betjam's 16% rebate of my losings (2x rollover) or matchbook's decent lines?

it seems like betjam's deal is a lot better, but i'm not sure. the 2x rollover is just a rollover the my REBATE, right? not my deposit+rebate?

    The question would rather be:

Would you rather lose 1000 dough and get 160 back?

or would you rather win 104 instead of 100?

I never knew BetJam had that. Do you have to be new to qualify?

Dude if you'd rather pick a book that rebates your losses, you shouldn't be gambling....

I dont respect anyones opinion that goes around telling someone else they should not be gamble for whatever there personal reason is. What's wrong with cutting your loses. I guess you shouldn't bet If-Bets either. Just straight, parlays, and teasers. All or nothing huh. What a joke.

thegreat - yeah i'm pretty sure you have to be new - i'm switching books this week so I might go with betjam...the bad thing is that the rebate payouts only happen three times a year - after nba finals, after world series and after super bowl

Why wouldn't you just take BetJams signup bonus? It's pretty good and you get the money right away, win or lose.

signup bonuses suck so much compared to rebates

that and the rollovers blow as well

I dont know what the better deal is...But maybe you can use both...say if you find the better line at matchbook use them, if you find the better line at betjam, use them. Also, if your going to use betjam for rebates, maybe you should look into rebatewager.com instead of 16% you get 25% which is pretty solid.

Split it up and go half in each.

Matchbook is the best baseball book.

Unless you bet 1st 5 inning lines or props.

BetJam had 10 cent 1st 5 inning numbers last season.

For hoops, I would expect much better liquidity for the NBA playoffs and NCAA tourney at Match.

Hopefully the marketmakers at Match will post totals on tourney games.

If you're serious, Frank is correct that you want multiple outs, allowing you to shop for the best price. However, if your bankroll or time considerations (or what have you) limit you to one, and the only consideration is the comparison of the prices vs. the rebate, it's no contest: Matchbook prices are a dramatically better deal. In the long run, better prices win almost every time. For the average Matchbook user, by choosing the lower vig you save 1-3% of every wager depending on how tight matchbook is, or for MLB you're looking at 1-2%. 15% on net losses may look big, but what % of your volume do you expect on average to be eligable for rebates? If 15% of net losses is expected to be bigger on average than 1% of volume for any reasonable sample size then you're playing a random or worse game. The only way that the discount could be competitive in any way even at 25% is if you're either trying to abuse it (which, given how you asked the question, you're not) or if you are going to be playing a VERY small number of games and employing reckless disregard for all forms of bankroll management.

That doesn't make BetJam a bad book, and I had no problem with them until the delays started. There are also some disadvantages to using Matchbook particuarly as your only out, but if you're USA-based (and thus can't get to Pinnacle) and are comfortable with the format then I think it's the clear choice.

Seems relatively simple to me, if you're more concerned about rebating losses than lines, you probably shouldn't be gambling.... well at least not with much of your net worth.... you can call me an idiot, but it seems common sense. you're not also supplementing your net worth with credit card points are you....???
