    Money Gram Problem
Hope you guys can help a newbie.

I've lurked at this sight for a while, and have learned a lot, but not enough.

I used to bet with Pinnacle before they pulled out of the US., since then have I only played stateside. Only last week I decided to play offshore again, and decided on Five Dimes based on recommendations, and reading of this website

So, last week I opened an account with Five Dimes by depositing $300 thru Moneygram. After losing that amount, I then sent another $300 today, again thru Moneygram. When I checked my balance a couple of hours later, I found that it was not credited. Called Five Dimes, and was told by CS that you can only send one Moneygram every eight days. (Sure wish that was documented somewhere!) The Five Dimes rep then told me to call Moneygram and change the name of the sender. This doesn't sound like a trivial thing to do, and I suspect it could raise some flags that I don't want raised.

Any suggestions or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

im assuming they gave you the new person's name and info?

find your receipt, call up moneygram, and get them to change the name. then call 5dimes back and tell them you changed it.

its not going to raise any flags. dont be paranoid.

Yes, Ive had to call and change transfers before. It wont be a problem or raise any flags. especially for that amount.

            Hey guys,
Thanks for your interest and fast replies.

I just called Moneygram and was told that the name can be changed, but that the person has to do it at an agent location, and has to show I.D. with the new name.

Since I don't intend on dragging anyone else in with me, I thought by waiting a few days the transfer would somehow still get to 5 Dimes. BUT, now I was just told by 5 Dimes that they won't receive this transfer, and that I should request a refund (less the service fee). Also, I read somewhere that a refund can take up to 30 days?

Oh for the days of Pinnacle and Neteller!

                Last update!

I went back to the Moneygram store to see about a refund, spoke with the agent for a while, who then let me resend the transfer using my "father's" name and address as sender (even though I didn't have that I.D.).

Guess it all depends on who you happen to deal with as far as making changes. But for sure it's a P.I.T.A.

Called 5Dimes back with the info and my account was quickly credited. Hope it's a good omen!

                Thanks for the forum.
