#1437Not damn sure! It's the Dutch league at end of the day...anything can happen! But Heracles are not in a good situation...they've lost their two best players but I dont think the bookmakers are taking that into account enough and are just looking at Heracles form in first half of season when setting the line.Comment -

#1439ah well I'll take the push considering that they were 2-0 down! But even with that it was clearly the right play...Bilbao had more chances in second half and more possession. Hit the post with a header, Ibai missed a great chance when he was one-on-one and Susaeta missed the ball completely from 6 yards out. Bilbao are at home to Espanyol in next game...considering how Bilbao perform in second half of games I may wait until after half time and bet on Bilbao to win second half at better odds.Comment -

#1440One player for tomorrow night so far:
Athletic Bilbao PK @ +133 away at Valladolid.
Bilbao have finally found some form and are coming off an excellent 3-0 home win against Atletico Madrid. They were also very unlucky not to come away from Betis with a victory in their last away game before Atletico as they dominated majority of the game, especially in the 2nd half. Valladolid are very solid at home which is the biggest concern, they've only lost 3 home games and two of those where back-to-back games against Real Madrid and Barcelona and they didnt get whooped in either of them. Their only other home loss was to Betis back in September. Bilbao meanwhile have only picked up 8 points away from home this season so on paper this bet doesn't look too smart! However, aside from Bilbao's recent good performances against two solid teams in Betis and Atletico, my main reason for liking Bilbao's chances in this one is the fact that Valladolid will be without Patrick Ebert (15 apps, 5 goals, 5 assists) who has been a very important player for them this season, and also centre-midfielder Victor Perez (17 apps, 3 goals), & defender Balenziaga (18 apps). The big contribution of Ebert to the team can be seen in their recent home win against Mallorca where he scored 2 goals and set the other one up. Valladolid's most recent home win was against a struggling Zaragoza side that hasn't managed to score a goal in last 6 games and who have had to deal with a hectic schedule since the Christmas break where they've had to play 5 games in 13 days (and the Valladolid game was in the middle of that so not surprising that Valladolid ended up winning that game comfortably 2-0.) It's a shame that Manucho has made it back in time for the game after Angola were eliminated from the African Nations as that would of been an added bonus had he been missing as all the goal-scoring responsibility would have been on Oscar's shoulders. Nonetheless, Athletic Bilbao have only lost 1 out of the last 9 games head-to-head and I think they can keep it at 1 out of last 10 tomorrow night, and maybe even eek out a victory.

Added:
Besiktas ML @ -155, & Besiktas/Karabuspor Over 3 goals @ -103...
Thought about Karabukspor +1 A.H. as well as they are the giant killers so very tempting but going with this instead! Besiktas whooped them 3-0 earlier in season though, and looks like Hugo ALmeida will recover from injury obtained in Gala game and will start with new signing Dentinho, and also Holosko with Fernandes and OZyakup behind so very attack minded. Gonna be missing Hilbert and Sivok which may weaken them defensively and also Kavlak and Boral are out. Might just play Over 2.5 as Besiktas could score 2 or 3 themselves and Karabukspor should score at least 1 with Besiktas' dodgy defence. Has been at least 3 goals in Besiktas' last 8 home games in League and CUp. Average goals per game involving Besiktas is highest in league at 3.68 and Karabukspor are 7th with 2.95 goals per game. Besiktas have scored most goals at home in the league with 23 and also conceded the joint second most goals at home with 14. Karabukspor meanwhile have scored 19 goals away from home - joint highest along with leader Galatasary and also conceded the second highest with 20 goals. All points towards 3 or 4 goals in this game! Seems too obvious but can't resist! Shelton (10 apps, 3 goals), and Lua Lua (15 apps, 5 goals) aren't playing so also adding Besiktas ML as those two strikers play a key role in Karabukspor's counter-attacking style away from home.
Kayserispor PK @ -171 away at Akhisar Belidiye GS...
Kayserispor have conceded more goals away from home then anybody else in the league so far this season, and Akhisar have gone four home games in a row without losing and managed to get their first home win with a 2-0 win against Antalyaspor a few weeks ago. Nonetheless, Kayserispor are looking a lot more solid now since Prosinecki took over towards the end of October.

3 wins, 1 push, 1 loss, and PSG won to keep the parlay going. Only £105 profit though, should of just stuck with the Over 3 goals in Besiktas game rather than playing Besiktas ML as well. Also missed out on not playing Heerenveen double chance or PK like I intended to.Comment -

#1441Another play for tomorrow:
Nice PK @ -159 away at Brest...
Brest were on fire for a period this season on home turf winning 6, drawing once, and losing once in their first 8 games in the League and Cup. Coincidentally their one loss in that 8 game run was to Nice 4-2 in the Coupe de Ligue. However, December and beginning of Jan has not been kind to Brest and they have lost 4 home games on the bounce, although those losses have been to solid opposition in reigning Champions Montpellier; title contenders Marseille, and PSG; and also most recently to St Etienne. Nice on the other-hand had a great December and start to the new year, however, their good run ended last weakened when they lost 1-0 at home to Bordeaux. Nice will be without regular centre-back Civelli and important midfielder Digard tomorrow, however, I believe that Brest have a bigger concern as they have lost, arguably, their most important player in Israeli striker Ben-Basat (to Toulouse) who has scored 40% of their total goals this season (20 apps, 9 goals). Last season Ben-Basat wasn't the only one scoring goals as midfielder Grougi ended up with 9, and Roux scored 4. But Grougi hasn't been able to replicate that scoring form so far this season as he's only managed to score once. Responsibility is now going to fall on Benschop (3 goals so far), Toure (2 goals), and Ayite (2 goals) with the latter currently playing for Togo at the African Nations. They've signed Gueye from Everton on loan who could be a useful signing but he isn't in the squad for the match tomorrow. Also, aside from being without Ben-Basat, Brest are also still missing important defender Baysse (18 apps, 2 goals), and midfielder Lesoimier (16 apps, 2 goals, 3 assists). Nice have won 4-2 on two separate occasions against Brest this season and I'm expecting Nice to make it three out of three tomorrow. With quality attacking players like Eysseric, Bautheac, and Cvitanich they really should be getting at least a draw out of the game considering Brest's lack of quality throughout their team.Comment -

#1442Livorno -1 A.H. @ -120 at home to Pro Vercelli.
Pro Vercelli are yet to win away from home and have only managed to get two points on their travels. Livorno are strong at home and have improved their midfield with the capture of Alfred Duncan on loan from Inter who could be a future star and is a name to remember. Serie A clubs like Pescara tried to sign him on loan but Stramaccioni wanted him to go to a strong Serie B team instead where he's more likely to get playing time. Pro Vercelli have been one of the most active sides in the Winter transfer market and brought in some reasonable decent players at this level such as Genevier, Erpen, Filkor, Grossi, Greco, and Eusepi, however it is asking a lot to expect these players to gel immediately and get points away at teams like Livorno. Expecting Livorno to win 2-0 or 3-1.Comment -

#1444Also small on Bournemouth PK @ +120 away at MK Dons.
Bournemouth have signed Matt Ritchie from rival promotion contenders Swindon for £600,000 who had scored 10 goals for Swindon so far this season. MK Dons meanwhile are going to be without some important regulars in Anthony Kay (22 apps, 1 goal), Gleeson (18 apps, 3 goals), Chadwick (22 apps, 6 goals), Mackenzie (7 apps), and Powell (20 apps, 4 goals).
Some comments from Robinson regarding frustration with players being out:
“The hardest thing for me is losing Luke Chadwick and Stephen Gleeson, along with the likes of Daniel Powell and Gary MacKenzie for spells of the season, has meant I have had to use my money on replacements in Ryan Harley and Chris Lines, which would have, ideally, been money spent strengthen other areas to get us out of this League. Rather than strengthen, this window has been about replacements
and filling voids.
“I know where we are still weak and I know where I want to improve, but we have kept within budget and we’ve been working incredibly hard. I didn’t leave this stadium until gone midnight and I was exhausted. It was a long old day, I felt as though I had lost and I don’t like losing.”Comment -
