You take the plus when you don't think the other side will cover the minus. Personally in soccer unless barca/city/Madrid/Liverpool/bayern or any other giant are playing giving a side a +1 can mean A LOT.

That's true. I still pushed/lost my juventus bets. I'll take a push over a loss anydsy though Trabzonspor was way more game for an away dog than I imagined. Even possession% was close.
