Why do people in states like Oklahoma consistently vote against their own best interests and keep electing people who are causing their suffering?
Why do people in places like Texas elect those who can’t even keep the electricity on and who vacation during mass casualty events?Comment -

777, why can't states like Oklahoma, with that great GOP leadership do a better job for their citizens.
777, how does a state like Massachusetts do so well for their citizens, with such bad leadership that sucks?Comment -

#14920Originally posted by jackpot269Probably has to do with the 1st thing listed. Education. They keep them, where they will believe anything, they are told. Better education teaches you to think for yourself, something the GOP will not stand for.
Well spoken.

#14924Members of President-elect Trump's transition team have told advisers they plan to make a federal framework for fully self-driving vehicles one of the Transportation Department's priorities, easing U.S. rules for self-driving cars.
See, if you dump $150 million of your money into electing someone they pay you back by generating policy that will pay you back with interest on your investment.

#14926PITTSBURGH and BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Democratic county officials admit they are breaking the law to overturn Pennsylvania’s Senate election for losing Sen. Bob Casey.
“I think we all know that precedent by a court doesn’t matter anymore in this country,” said Bucks County Commissioner Diane Ellis-Marseglia, who voted Thursday to count deficient provisional ballots a Pennsylvania Supreme Court order barred, in which voters did not sign in one of two necessary boxes.
“People violate laws any time they want,” Ellis-Marseglia said. “So for me, if I violate this law, it’s because I want a court to pay attention. There’s nothing more important than counting votes.”
Let that sink in .

#14933Originally posted by jackpot269With red states like Oklahoma, there are no educated, free thinking from the GOP. Just people who believe anything you tell them.
Take a look at all these GOP strongholds that believed anything that was told to them .
Exitpolls showed that at least 44 states had shifted toward Trump since 2020. The biggest shifts for the former president were in two Democratic strongholds, New York and California, where the lead for the Democrats was cut down by 12 points: from 23 points to 11 points in New York, and from 29 to 17 points in California. The result in New York meant the Democrats saw their worst result in the state since 1988.
Maryland, another Democratic stronghold, also saw a large shift toward Trump, with the Democrats' lead cut down by 10 points since 2020, from 33 points to 23 points. Meanwhile, in Florida, where Trump won the last 2 elections by a narrow margin of between 1 and 3 points, the President-elect won by 13 points in a 10-point swing from 2020.
Meanwhile, Connecticut, Illinois and New Jersey, all of which were won by Harris, saw the Democrats' lead reduced by 9 points since 2020, while Massachusetts and Rhode Island saw the leads for the Democrats reduce by 8 and 7 points respectively.Comment -

THE American people once again was given two bad choices from our 2 bad parties. Just because I know Trump is a POS, says nothing about how I feel about someone else, one way or the other. I understand that might be a little to complicated for you.

#14941I know most in here are Trump supporters, so here's what I will say as a liberal Democrat.
I'm not rooting against our next president. I hope Trump has the greatest presidency in history, because I'm an American. I am just certain that won't happen. He's a hypocrite and most of the things he proposes are contradictory. He is promising to lower costs, while also promising tariffs that will absolutely, positively, without a doubt raise costs by massive amounts.
If you voted for Trump because you thought grocery costs were gonna go down, you're an absolute moron. You just are. This isn't me making an uncertain prediction. It is literally guaranteed that costs will go up within 2025. I'm sorry if you were too stupid to know or figure it out.Comment -

#14944There was literally NO reason rooted in facts/reality to vote for Trump, unless you actually WANTED America destroyed so that he could avoid prison for crimes he committed in plain sight.
