I'm seriously going to tail all your bets next week. I got killed today with my horrible NFL picks.

#393I'm gonna stay a little conservative here in order not to dip very much into the nice profits from this weekend. Most books have this game at 3 -120 or something similar. That's why it's always good to have one of your accounts at a square book like bovada.
Seattle +3 1/2 -110 2 units
So far this isn't the Packers of the past 2 years although perception is that they are. Their offense is averaging only 247 passing yards per game compared to over 307 last year. Aaron Rodgers has thrown 3 TDs to 2 interceptions and his 89.9 passer rating is 14th in the NFL. The Seattle defense will be the best unit on the field. Their run defense is 2nd in the NFL at 46 yards per game & 2.6 yds allowed per carry. The Packer's Cedric Benson has 99 yards on 29 carries after 2 games so I don't expect him to be much of a threat. Rogers will be forced to win this vs a great Seahawk secondary so I expect a couple of turnovers. Flipping sides, the Green Bay defense is ranked 27th against the run so Lynch should have a field day. Wilson only needs to be a caretaker in this game. Let's also not forget the Packers are coming off a divisional game vs Bears and Seattle has the best home field advantage in the NFL. Pete Carrol is 13-5 ATS at home. I'm also leaning under but won't bet it on anything under 47.Last edited by The Seer; 09-24-12, 06:44 PM.Comment -

#397great weekend, but gotta go opposite you here. Think SEA getting way too much love (similar to CAR last thurs) and the play is on the more experienced, explosive team. Lean under but taking GB fairly large and eating the juice along with it. BOL and fantastic wknd, sir!!!Comment -

go seahawks!
Speaking of props- i remember the eagles game last year when they were playing vs the giants with vince young, I was tailing everything and you had lesean mccoy over 70 or 80 yards, he was at 30. then with 2 min left he busted a 70 yard run. lolComment -

#402I feel like I stole something. We've had plenty crazy things go against us and a couple this weekend so I'll take it. What an end to a big time profitable weekend, unreal.

#405Great calls, talled just on Seattle and the points and hit the under 21.5 for the 2nd half. Seems like they never adjust the 2nd half total enough in these defensive struggles. Have hit 4 of 5 2nd half under plays in college and then this tonight. The BYU game thursday was like taking candy from a baby, think they had 2nd half over under set around 23. NFL seems a little riskier as half time adjustments more like to change up the dynamic.Comment -

#411$100 now but I started about 10 or 12 years ago with $10 units. I did it for recreation then like now.
I have a couple of friends who are action junkies and were big time losing bettors. They just wanted action. I was a small time bettor betting like $10- $50 bucks a game max but I could pick winners alot better than them. Years ago, we bet together with a bookie. I did all the picking and we'd split winnings or payments. I'd just tell what to bet & they'd call them in. They'd get anxious as hell on those Saturdays when I'd have like 20 games going over the day and a few grand in play but I've won them more than they ever lost so they never bitched. We all moved to different areas due to jobs etc so I started betting offshore and I just text them what I bet now and they still get down on most of them but they bet alot on their own. I started offshore with like $10 a game at carib back in 2000. Now I generally use 3 or 4 books (although I have accounts at 6) and bet $100 a unit. Thats why I never go above 5 units on a game. I wouldn't ever bet more than $500 as a recreational bettor. To me it's more about just trying to pick the winner.Comment -

it's crazy but these refs are scared to make calls against these home teams. It especially showed in the first two weeks, there's data to back that up.Comment -
