    after shaq left...

35.4ppg (highest scoring season in 2 decades)
    31.6ppg the very next season
reg season mvp (screwed out of 2 more)
3 consecutive finals with avg cast
    2 finals mvp

he would be breaking kareems record last night if not for snaq oreo meal holding him back for 8 seasons.

Didn't he try to get traded to Chicago after Shaq left?
[B][B]They key isn't getting rich quick. The key is getting rich slowly, and enjoying it.

yep. Guy wouldnt have any more rings if the lakers didn't snag pau. LOL at bragging about scoring 35 and getting destroyed in the first round.

Let's remember crusty thinks Palmer is an elite quarterback, he thinks more interceptions then touchdowns is a good thing

Please. Shaq wouldn't have won shit without Kobe.......and vice versa. They both needed the other for the three-peat.

Shaq during his laker days was the most dominant big man of all time. It's not even close. They probably needed each other sure but there's no debate Shaq was the best player on that team

Lakers would have not won those years without Shaq, that's when Kobe's stock really took off.

Also, we should probably all have some perspective when Shaq says Kobe is the greatest laker of all time.

Would you believe anything else Shaq says?

William your a lifelong laker fan right? Wouldn't you take magic or Kareem instead?

Like I said I'm a Kobe fan and he's no doubt top 10 all time, but people are getting carried away.

I really have no answer for that question. Magic is my all-time favorite Lakers player. Guy was a one of a kind PG at 6'8" and truly "magic" on the court. But, one could argue that Kareem is the greatest player to have ever played the game. Obviously, he was never going to be a highlight reel because that wasn't his game. But, being an incredible player before there were media outlets such as ESPN (Jordan era) and sustaining his greatness over TWENTY years is UNREAL! Kareem played 20 seasons and not only averaged 25 points & 11 rebounds OVER TWENTY YEARS, but only twice over twenty seasons did he miss more than 8 games.....which....at 7'2" was/is unheard of (you could count on "Cap" to be there.....game after game......year after year).

I dont recall anybody holding Kobe back, if anything he held others back because of his ball hogging and selfish style of play.

                                                  Get a clue!

Did you even watch the game last night? Gasol & Bynum were getting dunks, layups, open five footers....and guys were getting wide open 3's!!!!! Why???? Uh.........because the 76ers were FORCED to double...and at times...send a third player......at Kobe. THAT alone makes players around him better. If people understood the game of basketball comments like these just wouldn't be made.

Don't hurt them with the truth. It Kobe was double and triple teamed then the lakers shud have won easily and Kobe shud have at least 10 assists. But they lost and he took 50 shots.
