"Plenty of people" is totally relative.

If you took an exam, and you scored in the 97th or 98th percentile, the only people who are retaking are those who are trying for Yale Law or something absolutely prestigious. There are 200+ law schools in this country, and PLENTY of them produce quality attorneys.

I would argue that a HUGE MAJORITY of people who score 170, get into the school of their choice, and have 5-6 great options to choose from. Maybe a SMALL HANDFUL of them would retake the exam.

Regardless, it is absolutely not the norm, and in this case, pissy can't even produce the names which accredited institutions he's considering. Bullshit alarm still quite high.

Hopefully you don't act like this in real life because lol - good luck networking. Nobody likes pretentious losers bra.
He's a spoiled kid with rich parents, and it shows the way he posts on this forum. Kids a loser who probably never worked a day of his life, and feels the need to tell everyone on a gambling website how much smarter he is than you. Or "you idiots are missing out on free money" I just wish everyone would ignore him, then he'd go away. He thrives off the attention he's getting here, because clearly he gets none in real life.

I'm very quiet in real life. Don't really like talking much. Hate public speaking. The thing I'm dreading most about law school is the public speaking. Will have to get over it.

As for going to my second choice, I may. My second choice is the University of Illinois. I really would love to go to law school in Chicago though, so I'm still holding out hope for Northwestern.

Northwestern wait-listed me with a 170, and as mentioned, a low undergraduate GPA. I thought my essays were fine. I had my English professor from college look over them all and make some suggestions.

And yes, it is nice knowing that when I graduate law school I won't be 100,000-125K in debt like most people who do.

And I do have quite a bit of money in my name, my parents just want me to save it or invest in my mortgage rather than pay for law school.

It'd be one thing if my parents were working hard for this money, but they are retired and have too much money as it is. They know this as well, which is why they offered.
          Sorry prissy,

I'll be more mature about it. From reading your posts, and how pretentious to seem to be, not only on this name, but when you were "kerrywood" asking for 1000 point loans in the points section - you seem to generally be an abrasive all around un-likeable person.

You certainly are not a self made man, with a lot of accomplishments in your life. And you certainly aren't some big unit handicapper, making huge moves.

You are a live at home, off your parents' dime, with nothing to your name. Again, you have money I'm sure, but I'm also sure your parents gave it to you. Don't tell us you're 24 years old, with a BS and a Masters (supposed), with filthy rich parents, and you're also working full time. LOL

You're a young kid - that is all, and your internet personality sucks bigtime. I can see you've certainly changed your tone throughout this thread, and have developed a little more humility. Like I said, I got no problems. I been there done all that shit, that's the only reason I chimed in.

And like I said earlier, good luck to you, you've got about a half decade of struggling ahead of you. Gotta accomplish shit before you start naming them accomplishments.

I worked during my undergraduate degree and I work currently. I also don't live at home. I don't even live in the same state as my parents anymore.

                IT is a B. I got mostly B's and A-.

My undergraduate actually changed their system my freshman year... 90-100 used to be a flat out A, and a 4.0, and they changed the system to 94-100 is an A (4.0), while 90-93 is an A- (3.75).

                Same thing for B's as well. 80-83 = 2.75 (B-)

Pretty dumb system. Hurt my GPA. Never going to class except exam days hurt it as well.

It would be pretty easy for me to sit here and laugh at that GPA but I will be the bigger man

I don't really care if you laugh or not. I didn't try and the results were evident of that.

Most law school admissions people admit that the LSAT is weighed 3 times more so than an undergraduate GPA...

The LSAT is the best indication they have as to how well a law student will perform in their first year, which is what they are interested in.

If what you say is true prissy, accept my apologies for sounding harsh and shitting on your real law school plans.

You have to admit, someone who gets a 170 and RETAKES the exam is pretty ridiculous. If you did get a 3.08 on your undergrad, maybe Northwestern isn't for you. Competition is tough there, and you likely won't even finish in the top quarter, or even top third if you busted your ass off.

Why not take your chance at another one of the FINE institutions you were accepted into, stay in Illinois, establish your network there, I'm sure you can stay in Chicago afterwards. It would be hard to believe that UIllinois didn't have a strong alumni presence in the windy city.

Quit wasting time and start chasing ambulances or find a job - taking the LSAT again, pretty much a waste of time and money IMO. Good luck Prissy, being a lawyer ain't what it used to be.

Talking in public is not the same as PUBLIC SPEAKING. Public speaking is giving a speech to a whole class or auditorium.

And according to polls, people are overall more afraid of public speaking than death, so are all of those people social retards too? I have no problem talking to my friends in public. This was a flat out ridiculous question which I assume was just an attempt to troll.

Look at the way he acts around here, I imagine he wants to be a lawyer purely to throw it in other peoples faces and so he can claim to be better than them like he does all the time.

Nah... it is a financial decision. I think it is something I would enjoy doing and I think it is something I can do well enough to make a nice living.

It doesn't have anything to do with superiority. I'd rather go to Vegas and hit a 20 team parlay that paid out $10,000,000 and just retire and be a jobless bum my whole life.

I feel like I can be in the top quarter anywhere I go, simply because when I've put effort in, I've always achieved the grades and results I've wanted. Maybe I"m just being arrogant, but we will see what happens. Thanks for the well wishes.

This just shows what kind of person you are. Spoiled brat. While your parents aren't currently working hard for their money in retirement, at one point in time I'm sure they worked their asses off for it, barring some crazy circumstance. Just because they aren't currently earning it, doesn't mean it wasn't once earned. You act as if they owe you the money just because they have "too much." If anything you owe them. Your mother gave birth to you and both parents put up with all the shit we do as kids. If your parents have extra money in retirement and are willing to help you out, great for them and you. But don't come on an internet gambling forum and brag about how rich you are bc your parents basically bankroll you. Rather than come on here and try and put others down bc you got a 170 on your LSAT or have multiple degrees, take your extra time to call your parents and say thanks.

99% of the people who took the exam scored lower than you, Yale and Harvard law REGULARLY ACCEPT 170 students with NO QUESTIONS ASKED (assuming you weren't a total piece of trash in undergrad and have a sub 3 GPA). Are your essays that bad? Are you just a mental midget afraid to leave the basement?

You're telling us, many of us already established attorneys, that have BEEN THROUGH law school, PASSED OUR BARS, that you got a 170 on your LSAT, and you're retaking the exam.

THIS THREAD IS 100% OVER, PISSKILLA IS ABSOLUTELY FULL OF SHIT. NOBODY GETS A 170 ON THEIR LSAT, GETS "ACCEPTED TO 3 LAW SCHOOLS ALREADY" AND RETAKES THE EXAM!!!!! YOU ARE CALLED OUT, BURIED AND 100% FULL OF COMPLETE ROTTING SHIT. WHICH THREE SCHOOLS WERE YOU ACCEPTED TO LOLLLLLLLLL, 170 AND RETAKING THE EXAM. THAT SHIT IS RICH.

Seriously, you have such disdain and adversity towards others, trying to talk yourself up, but the question remains:

ARE YOU PARENTS PAYING FOR YOUR TUITION WITH PERSONAL CHECK, CASHIER'S CHECK, OR MONEY ORDER.

Post your PERSONAL STATEMENT...You need one to apply to any law school. I know your lying when you said you scored a 170... Just post your personal statement, the same one that goes out to all the Law School Applications along with LSAT Scores.
