Not touching this one, but Muster or nothing here IMO.

Slightly coincidental that he has been drawn against an 18yo fellow countryman ranked 1890 in the world in his home tourney in what he has confirmed to be his final tournament before his re-retirement.

Old man may be torn a new one, but looking at the odds and the situation, I'd say he puts in a decent showing.

I was watching 2-3 muster matches this year and he dont have speed any more but his shots are still pretty good,his serve become his weak side but i dont know nothing of this young man so for me this would be no bet.

this won't be a disgrace... Muster is a vet. The kid is still in diapers, is ranked 1897 in the world and played the Junior events at Wimbledon, the French and the US Open. THE JUNIORS. Not the pros.

Even Muster is only ranked 1073

I don't know who will win here but I have no clue why you'd think this match should be a sure thing for Thiem considering the circumstances around Muster in this one.

He was like Michael Chang. Could chase every ball down before guys had massive power games.

I dont know the first thing about this kid, but he's likely to be better than an old fella who can run around in circles for 5 hours.

Going to have a small go on the kid and something else short parlayed. Theres something fishy about this match, so i definitely won't be touching a handicap; Musters last tournament and he randomly draws Thom? Whats up? Probably a farewell and a fairytale passing of the torch at the end. I don't see any real WWE in Muster winning this one, but not really the kid either. Fukkit maybe too hard. No play.

Musters last performances show he is still good for one set,but thats it, i think he have to be careful to not become a tennis clown like Mansur Bahrami,he surely get good money for this tournament, to attract the austrians, he is still a hero there, Muster have a psychic problem he cant accept his age, he is very fit but not competitive for the ATP tour

Yeah ok but look at Date-Krumm and Craybas. They're both ancient yet they can still manage surprises. Hell, Krummy almost took out Venus this year at Wimbledon and she's 41. This kid's favourite surface is clay... even including the ITF, he's only ever played those 3 matches on indoor hard that I mentioned earlier. I just think with this draw the organisers are being cute. Maybe I've just been betting tennis for too long and have become cynical now but seeing as he's retiring for good after this, it just seems really coincidental considering the quality of the other people he could've faced in the first round. Like this kid is almost ranked in the 2000s... the next closest is like 200. Common. Whether or not Muster can pull it off though, who knows.
