Now I must root for Muster. #1, you NEVER bet big on tennis, NEVER. #2, this is Muster's swan song in his home country against a YOUNG fellow countryman ... the likelihood of a fix .... something you need to seriously consider so that the home crowd gets something to cheer for. #3, there is very little to gauge Thiem on ... backing a nobody at high chalk, seriously stupid even if he does win.

Sadly I had to let it die. It was really difficult to keep up with the questions and PMs as it was because of the time difference but when I started working here, it just became that much harder. People would ask me stuff and their posts and PMs would get buried amongst work things that had to take precedence. I still hang around the tennis forum... but this is a really dud time of year for the sport with the season winding down so I'm not really betting. Maybe today though.

And fwiw, yes I'd be on Muster if I did decide to bet but I see where jj's coming from with the age thing. But in a situation like this where you have a guy playing the last tournament of his career and it happens to be at home, and he happens to be playing a countryman who is not only a teenybopper but has never won on the surface, it's the kind of match that's just too ugly to bother with unless you take the dog.
