Preseason NFL is one of the easiest markets to beat. Coaches give out all of their game plans, you can predict what will happen in certain situations better than in the regular season.

August is usually my best month of the year in terms of +EV

I agree. I wager on about a dozen preseason games every year and always win more than I lose. Probably make 6 or 8 plays total for the entire regular NFL season.

One pre season was so good for me when I started losing in the regular season I just stopped so to have a winning season. Coach's motive's second and third string Q.B. were my keys that pre season. I disagree about only de gens betting pre season. Find the right angles and $ is to be won.

One thing to look at is a coaches historical tendency towards preseason games. For example, Jimmy Johnson used to never care abt winning them at all. If you had/could bet large amounts on all the teams he played while he was at Dallas--I am sure you are retired somewhere. Other coaches, espcailly new ones trying to establish a "winning atitude" with a dog from previous year will look at preseason as a way to jump start their season. Go forth and prosper.
