I haven't been around much lately, so I didn't witness a lot of the drama that took place after Mo left. I have heard bits and pieces and quite frankly, I am a little disappointed that grown adults can be so cruel toward each other when hiding behind a computer.

Having said that, I have noticed from glancing at the forum that things seem to be getting back to normal, so please do not assume that I am here to stir the pot.

I am not the designated spokesperson for the ladies of SBR, but as a neutral party who hasn't registered at EOG, I wanted to let some of you know why the other three ladies are not posting here as they have in the past (that seems to be the reason some of you vultures have treated them as carrion).

Nancy (Sportsgirl) has been a regularly posting member of this forum for two years now...but because she was having fun with a friend on another message board, she is now a slut, a whore, a traitor, etc and shunned by certain individuals whenever she posts in the threads.

I suppose I should play the devils advocate and say that the women should not be treated any differently than the men in regards to being on the receiving end of the torment. And you all have to admit that for the most part, the women have been pretty good sports. Right? Right.

I haven't followed any of the threads at EOG, but it has been made abundantly clear that the women are treated fairly and aren't egregiously picked on, but rather spoken to as if they were just another member of the message board. And from what I have been told, their posting behavior is not at all different from the manner in which they posted over here.

So there you have it. The other women, excluding myself, of course, did not follow Mo over there simply to abandon SBR. They have found that in posting over there, they obtain a much greater level of respect, even when talking about boobies and e-flirting with others (talk of which I have never been a big fan of).

Also, so that I make myself perfectly clear, it is my personal opinion that EOG has embraced the aforementioned ladies as a personal slap in the face to SBR. And what do some of you do? You prove their point by further driving the women away.

I've never had a problem with any of the women posters and wished they were still here on a frequent basis. They bring a whole new dynamic to the place. That being said, I think over the last few weeks, SBR has moved in a very positive direction and all the cut you to the quick replies that were floating around have ceased. Everyone has kinda bonded together and made this forum very solid. We rib each other from time to time, but nothing like the blatant intention of hurting someone you saw before.

Hopefully the girls will come back more often, but either way, as long as they enjoy were they are, thats all that matters. Just so long as they know, we'll always be here and we'll leave the light on for them.

This is very true. But you do have to admit (and you have been an infractor in the past) that a good chunk of the men here are pretty nasty to some of the ladies. Gambling and women just don't go together. Check the video on the other thread. With that said, I don't understand the nastyness of some people on the forum. Fact is, if you don't like some of the threads, don't look at them. When I'm at the porno store and looking for some jacking material, I go to the section of the store that I like, and then I don't look at the other sections that I don't like. It is called freedom of choice.

I think that sometimes gamblers have a bad patch of luck and it seems like they get some PMS going. I know I used to do it myself until I got under control. I just realized that it doesn't do anyone anygood to be mean for no reason.

Every forum goes through drama (and every chat room etc). I wasn't around here when the $hit hit the fan with mo, but don't really care if he or others post at EOG. I've posted on other boards and so have a lot of others. The "women" of SBR are taking heat because they are "women".

I can only speak for myself because the other women have their own thoughts on this topic. I have enjoyed posting here in the past because for the most part, some of you guys are funny as hell. I do read a lot of the sports threads, but when I see the drama start up, it irritates the crap out of me. There is only so much caveman BS I can deal with.

I don't want to get off track here, but I have seen this argument brought up time and time again over here. Question for you though. Do the women in your life get upset about it because you are compulsive? Do you care more about gambling than anything else in your life? Do you lie to her about it and use money from your savings or 401K to appease your fix? If you answered "yes" to any of the above, THAT'S the reason she gave you the ultimatum. I think that somewhere along the line, some of the men picked up on a little bit of caveman mentality toward the women and ran with it. It then became their own little joke to talk to the ladies like they were unworthy of even breathing the same air. I am also 100% certain that the exact same individuals would never in their wildest dreams speak to any of us in that manner face to face.
