It is very hard to find a bad pizza. The worst I have ever had was at a Pizza Hut in Camp Warhorse Iraq.
    Awful.

Best I have had, was in New York. Chicago style is good I just prefer NY Style.

Good Places in VA = Astoria in Woodbridge., BigSlice in Georgetown

Good in WV = Bent Willy's Pizza, Casa Di Amici and Colosante's (Morgantown)

Good in Vermont = Jockey Hollows

    Good in Boston = Gino's

I cant remember the two I go to In New York, it has been a while.

As far as Chains Go, the Papa John's 3 Cheese pizza is probably the best.

              Everyone has different tastes period

East Coast probably would win if you polled a lot of people or pizza experts

If you have ever been to Italy you would say that it is the best very different in so of the smaller villages, but very flavorful, and the crust is to die for

I challenge anyone who loves a good pie to eat one from Lou Malnati's in/around Chicago and not just think they had as good as it gets for that kind of food.

When I was in Chicago, I was recomended a place (And I cannot reember the name of the place). I went there, and you were allowed to use a crayon or marker or pencil or whatever the **** you wanted to write with, to write on the walls. But yet, it was still a classy looking place. I was told they had great pizza. Let me tell you, the pizza there was a fukking joke. Anybody know what place I am talking about? If you do, lets warn SBR posters not go to there, please.

If you decide to go there regardless of my warning, look for my writing on the wall, "DiggityDaggityDo Was Here".

I mean, nowadays they throw some catshit on some dough at CiCIs & these fuks call it pizza. Pizza has tomato sauce, and they didnt use that in the mediterranean many years ago. Flatbread was a peasant food eaten by the poor with some white shitty sauce & maybe some goat cheese

Chicago is the best. But understand that there are 2 distinctly different Chicago pizzas. Deep Dish and Thin Crust. I like both but prefer Thin Crust.

Speaking of great thin crust. Sammy's in Duluth, Mn takes a backseat to nobody.

You know that is a good question. I can't say with absolute certainty.

As a kid many years ago I remember when the deep dish first appeared in Chicago. Long before that we had great thin crust always cut in squares. If that is in fact NY style....well, you learn something everyday. But that is the pizza we had in the neighborhoods in Chicago in the late 50's and early 60's.... and always cut in squares.

Never had any so-called NY pizza cut in squares anywhere. And any NY pizza I've ever had did have a slightly thicker crust than the really thin Chicago generally found in the neighborhood parlors. Go anywhere and ask for a "Chicago Cut" and they should know to cut it in squares.

Most of us I think just always thought of 2 different Chicago pizzas. Deep dish and really thin crust.
