Not a terrible point. And I don't think anyone is predicting an Iowa blow-out. I'm certainly not. But stopping Denard is less about scheme than gap control and discipline. Iowa should be able to do that after having two weeks to prepare.

I think the IOWA offense vs. MICH defense is a bigger advantage for IOWA than viceversa...................

Iowa offense is better than Michigans defense............much more so than Iowa's defense is better than Michigans offense.

I think either way you look at it, it favors Iowa. I'll take Iowas Offense over Michigans Defense, as well as Iowas Defense over Michigans Offense.

Iowa doesn't score a ton of points, which is why it's good they have an excellent D. They let teams hang around, which causes me to shit my pants....But Stanzi is dialed in this year and they have a killer coaching staff who've had 2 weeks to prepare.

I can't imagine "loving" Michigan in this spot. The play is Iowa or no play at all.

Did you watch the second half? Penn State moved the ball at will. At 17-3, they had 1st and goal and failed to score when the QB didn't lower his shoulder on the goal line on 4th down. And what did Iowa do offensively in the second half? Nothing.

Yes, they were playing safe with the lead, I realize. But Penn State moved the ball well against that defense.

And how did Iowa respond to that crazy crowd in Arizona last month? A blocked punt for a TD, a kick return for a TD, and when they got the lead, the defense let Arizona come right down the field and score.

These games are not as cut and dry as rankings, we all know. My thinking is Michigan will bounce back big time and Iowa is not that good. Michigan's defense is awful, but if they can get in front, they can win this outright.

Good luck on Iowa. If Michigan gets hammered, I'll admit it was a bad play.

i'm a Michigan fan, but I have to agree that Stanzi is a better QB than Denard R. Stanzi makes clutch plays over and over again. Denard is hyped up right now thanks to the media and a few games where he played out of his skin.
THIS is why michigan is at +4 points AT HOME.

These games are always tough to nail on the head...but Iowa played at Arizona and clearly showed they were a top shelf team on both sides of the ball. Michigan has been doing it with smoke and mirrors all season with Robinson, and now the real Michigan is starting to appear.
