I guess I made that to easy. Why will he never get in mad max if he plays a year or two more he will pass 400hr and 400sb and 2500 hits?

I think the answer to your question LV is the fact that he only made 2 All Star Teams. This tells me he was not an ELITE player at his position during his time in the big leagues. He's certainly the model of consistency, but doesn't give you anything that makes your jaw drop.

Hall of the Very Good...not Hall of Fame.

And he wont hit any of milestones... 3000 hits or 500 HR's or MVP's.

There isn;t enough information given to make the determination if he's a HOFer.
                but,

I'm assuming like others that you are referring to Bobby Abreu, and he provides a bit of a conundrum,

he was always a good defender especially early in his career but fell off.

He showed decent power ( 276 HR, 524 2B), 488 Slug 192 ISO. but the numbers are weak for a corner outfielder especially in the silly ball era.

                He showed good speed (372 SB; 75.5%, 57 3B) and good plate discipline (14.8 BB%, 400 OBP).

His compilation numbers, 387 wOBA, 137 wRC, 61.4 WAR, 44.9 WPA, all rate out very well, but in the end the biggest knock on him is that he may have been very good at just about everything you can do on the field but not great at any one thing,

Agreed. As I said, Hall of the Very Good...and that is nothing to be ashamed of. It is, and it should be, extremely difficult to make the HOF.

Abreu is a great player but not in his time. He has never been considered an elite player, and that to me is what it means to be hall of famer. Not just someone that can collect the stats over the years.
