Describe a "RECREATIONAL player? The one who doesn't lose his house?
This makes me somewhat anxious and a little insecure:
This recreational tag a Book can "hang you with" if they feel like you haven't lost enough, or feel as though you have won to much, or, just too hard to beat to..... smithereens!

So there are two categories of gamblers, I guess they are stating:

The sucker[recreational], and the sharpie, the pro?

I would venture to say 90% of these two categories will lose in the long run, some in the short run?

In other words, the Book is not a "recreational" enterprise! They are the true Pros!

Anyone with experienced knowledge, please fill me in on the real difference?

A recreational player is someone who starts with a small balance at a book (less than $200) plays for several weeks and either builds it up to a good payout or loses it. The loss or winnings from the experience will not have any impact in his day to day life.

I always thought that a recreational player was somebody that bet on games for entertainment; maybe betting on their favorite team, or a nationally televised event, etc. The books don't really define exactly what a recreational player is, so who knows. I guess it's up to their discretion.
