    How about Rodman/Terrell Owens analogy?
both guys started off low keyed.T.O is better at his respective sport but I think that it's a great analogy. As they became more successful, both of their egos became enlarged and they didn't get along with team members.

They both give maximum effort: T.O. was injured in the Super Bowl and had over 1oo yards receiving

Rodman was less skilled but was all EFFORT and HEART

Rodman deserves the hall of fame---His offensive skills were subpar but was Bill Russell an offensive dynamo?--

Rodman and T.O. are both hall of famers(T.O easy)

No comparison, Rodman was major big time winner and Owens was really not. Both hall of famers though.

I disagree that TO was better at his sport. Rodman was one of the best ever at what he did- rebound, defend, hustle, set screens and do all of the less flashy things that make his teammates great. And he was consistent. TO was great at what he did (catching passes and running after the catch), at times, but was not consistent and let hie whiny attitude get the better of him too often. Rodman did it much more consistently for much longer. And good receivers are fairly common. Guys like Rodman are extremely rare and what they do for a basketball team is much more valuable than what a receiver can do for a football team. Show me a great QB with time to throw and I'll show you good or great receivers. Show me a great receiver on a team with a bad QB or bad offensive line and I'll show you TO on the Bills or one of the bad years in San Francisco.

100% agree. The difference between the 2 guys was this: Rodman played to win. Owens plays for his stats first, to win second.
