Dimitrios Drosos, 45, director of betting company Gold Victory Ltd, has been jailed for 14 months after being convicted of defrauding several people of a total of €500,000.
The court found that the Malta-based company had not paid winnings to several players and the accused had pocketed the money.
€70,000 paid by the accused as bail money were forfeited after it was established that Drosos,a Greek national resident in Kappara, had jumped bail and escaped from Malta.
He was re-arrested on the strength of a European arrest warrant

I have/had a goldvictory account with 1.200 Euro. I've paid out, but I never got my money.

But what can I make ?? Nothing I think. I never will get my money back. Or somebody has an idea ?

I also had a 1000 Euros stolen by this thieving bastard, not sure how it could be done or how we would go about recovering any funds from his assets, Perhaps each SBR member who is owed money would need to co-ordinate account details through SBR, then submit a joint claim for damage/recompense through the Maltese authorities.

Yeah, sucked. Didn't sting too much though, cos I ran it up from a small deposit. Frankly surprised it didn't happen to me more, my money has resided in some absolutely whorehouse books over the years :-)


Have emailed the LGA asking what now, see if they have any plans to look for assets - they were always saying before they couldn't do anything before the end of the legal proceedings.

Greece is by far the most corrupted country of Europe. In fact, i would be surprised if Drossos was jailed.
