#437i like moneybookers, but they do tend to have the habit of talking out of their ass sometimes. in the pointbet-debacle they also made wild unproven claims (they had seized a significant balance belonging to pointbet which would be distributed among scammed customers at some point). last thing i heard about it ever was them saying that though, was never followed up by any action.Comment -

#438It's never a good idea to "cause panic" amongst customers by writing "yes, we are in trouble now, we have a lot less funds, than needed to pay out pending withdrawals. Please be patient, we are hoping in a miracle (for example a lot large deposits), and if that will happen, we'll probably pay you out - if not, we will close business and you will never see your money" - so they always write, we are having technical issues, everybody will get paid etc....this is the usual behaviour of a dying bookmaker....suck all the money they still can, and leave....let's hope that in this case, GV will solve their problems, but all signs point towards another Betchance case...Comment -

Yes, the owner of GV is former president of PAOK basket club Dimitrios Drosos.
He mysteriously stepped down as president of PAOK in last days of 2008 claiming serious health issue and rumours said he was in for a head surgery in UK.
Some though questioned if this is the true nature of his retreat.
Here`s the farewell statement by Drosos:
Now to the GV issue. I spoke to a person from LGA by the phone and was told that LGA is carrying out a legal investigation into GV`s business. A lawyer hired from LGA, Trevor De Giorgio, is in charge of this investigation. The LGA official was reluctant to give away any details as to timeframe and nature of this investigation. I asked him what would in the meantime customers of GV do, since they are left in a blackout as to what is going on in GV.
His advice was that all players should submit their case of non-payment to LGA by e-mail with their details as GV customers. This should be done by e-mail sent to complaints@lga.org.mt.
I don`t know how much this would help, if it would help at all, but at least this must be given a go.
I don`t hold out much hope with LGA, but they should be at least put under pressure to move their arseholes.
If LGA doesnt want to ply their trade then their boss (FinMin of Malta) could be bothered.
It would be nice also if SBR could get in touch with the lawyer in charge of GoldVictory case so that some light is shed on this issue.Comment -

#454They employed a CS, as they wanted to accept deposits (without paying out withdrawals) as long as they could lie to their users.
For those who have their balance with rollover - your money is lost, only a miracle can help.
For those who have a "clear" balance - you have a very small chance that some bookmaker bails out GV. My concern is, that it is a well known fact, that most of GV-s customers are bonus hunters, and I am not sure if ANY bookie wants to buy a database full of them...
As for the LGA.... - ...........nothing. And worths nothing. Will do nothing.
Count this money as lost cash boys, and hope in a miracle....(
