They suck for what? Are they not good for weight loss? Or are they not good for you? If this stuff sucks, then I need to know why I should stop drinking it!

IMO little effect but I am not a coffee drinker so I have no personal experience... It's gross but that foofoo stuff with whip cream isn't bad...

Sportsgirl, they are relatively low in calories. However, it is the kind of calories. Look on the label. Most of them have sugar for the carb source. This kind of sugar is high glycemic which causes an insulin spike when you drink it. When insulin levels rise, your body goes out of fat burning mode. Insulins primary function is to take sugar out of the blood and stuff it in cells. During this time your body will not break down fat for energy. If your cells are full during this time (which they would be unless you just depleted them from exercise), insulin will take that extra sugar and fill fat cells(not good). The goal is to keep blood sugar levels stable. People lose weight by just drinking slim fasts 2 or 3 times a day and eating 1 or 2 regular meals. However, the weight they lose usually isn't fat weight. If you are on a caloric deficit (burn more calories than you put in), you will lose weight but your body composition might not be heading to what you want.

Coffee is a central nervous stimulate. your body burns fat more efficiently if you drank a cup of coffee before exercise. Plus, the heightening of your nervous system will help your focus and strength. Before ephedrine was so hard to get (thanks to meth makers), it combined with caffeine and aspirin made probably the most effective fat burning cocktail to date. You can still get ephedrine at some gas stations. They sell it as an asthma medication. It's against the law to market it as a weight loss product now thanks to idiots that thought more was better.

I would love to work out in the morning , but it is very tough to get up and start working out. . . also someone mention about if you have to drink, drink whiskey ( i love it but doesn't that have a ton of sugar in it also?)

I get lost when you guys start talkin about all these different types of carbs. . . But i guess its best to drink a powerade/gatorade right after workout ( i think seer said this). . .

Thanks for all the shakes , they sound pretty good ( they would count as a meal right) . . .

hey man I was feel same way you do about working out in morning, when first got a trainer I would go like 10-11 but that was just not for me, what I normally do is sometimes have like a bananna or something light then usually a sub or salad then later i get dinner then workout 7:30 or later and me personally I just drink water after that or very light snack and just not hungry so thats my routine sorta kinda

eat grain carbs + some protein for breakfast. eat that within 20 minutes or so of waking up. eat 6 times through the day, small meals, and dont worry too much about them being exactly 2.56 hours apart or anything like that. sugars are good at one time, thats right after you work out. you want carbs right after the work out and then a whey protein. for cardio do burst work, for lifting mix it up. some days heavy, some days light. dont take long breaks between your sets and mix up your exercises for your different body parts at least every month. not much more to it, imo.

I don't know about 3 hours, but I can't go to bed right after I eat. I wake up in the middle of the night feeling like there's a bowling ball in my stomach - like what I atte never digested.

Studied it for over 20 years. Made a living at it. I wanted to know every way I could to be in the best shape I could be in and perform the best I could down to the last detail. I've never met a doctor that knew more than me about this and I've used myself as the guinnea pig over the years. Eating this way with exercise really held off father time (along with some decent genetics). You saw my pic, do I really look like I'm mid to late 30s?

Very, very interesting stuff. It's amazing what the body does with what you put in it. I think I'd like to study up on this myself - learn more about what I should and shouldn't be eating. I'm not overwieght, but I would like to eat better just to be healthier.

and no, you didn't look like a person in their mid-30s. Did I look like a person who is older than you?

First bold I agree totally and I did the samething... You learn best that way...

Second bold Well I have had two cosmo surgeries for looks and nothing more so I agree I do it to hold off father time too and it's pretty effective... I am looking into hormone therapy for anti-aging... Right now I am taking certain types of Amino's that "supposedly" stimulate your glands (pentuitary I believe) into increasing the amount of hormones you body releases in a given day/night... Doing the ginny pig thing..

I haven't met too many doctors that knew more as I was surprised how much they don't know... My boy Heff. on the other hand was a sophamore in college at the time and he knew about as much as any doctor/phsyologist or trainner... Of course his IQ was off the f*ckin' charts!

Sham, I'd be suprised if supplementing with aminos helped any. I don't have to yet, but HGH replacement therapy is by far the best. You can get by without testosterone replacement but HGH really works wonders. I know alot of guys that do it. It's expensive but your skin has better elasticity, your joints stay healthy, you heal real quick. If I could afford it, I would too. Somedays I get up and just throb all over from so many hits and wear and tear on my body in the past.

I have noticed some minor things but I don't want to over react.. I am interested in HGH no matter the cost and if you can provide me with a nice lead I would appreciate it... I am lucky so far that my body feels great and I never have any aches or pains anywhere... It also looks ok.... FOR NOW!

I would like it more for cosmetic results such as healthier looking skin but I know there are more important positive effects with it that I am interested in too... I am not totally vain..just mostly...

I am also looking for something that restores volume in your skin like collegan... I don't want to inject that sh*t artifically in me unless I have to...

Im 5'10 about 155 lbs lean and cut trying to add on weight. The one sport that i recommend playing to lose a little extra pound and get cut is basketball. Besides raquetball and tennis, basketball is probably the best cardio sport out there. Not much standing around. And its also easy to pick up 2-3 guys to start a game unlike most sports. As far as diet goes, just stick with alot of protein, chicken breast, lean meats. You probably know the drill
