#6Well actually mid august is the peak (we are slightly past it). But that doesn't mean Sept. and Oct. can't see their fair share of activity. I hope we get a few monsters... I have lumber futures that I need to appreciate in a way only a couple doozies can do.Comment -

#7Fishhead you have no hurricane etiquette
You never ever talk about hurricanes in the gulf
You might as well just causes a category 4 to happen in the coming weeks

#10As long as it's calm the last week of September when I plan on fishing up and down and all around Galveston, I'll be happy.Originally posted by FishheadWhat will September bring to the Gulf Coast, anything?Comment -

#11We need a couple big hurricanes to stimulate the economy. Lumber yards, Home Depots, grocers, builders are praying for the big one as we speak.Comment -

#13I've seen some bad threads in my short time here but this one might take the cake. Guys, wishing for mass
destruction is never a good thing.Comment -

#17We're in a La Nina oscillation phase currently according to what I've read. La Nina's usually cause less precipitation in the Southeast U.S.Comment -

#18Willie I do not wish destruction to anyone but my business right now is hurting. Banks don't lend money for retail or residential private development so all the projects are frozen. I wouldn't mind a couple hurricanes and a few earthquakes right now. It will keep me busy for the next 5-10 years.Originally posted by Willie BeeWhat if the areas being leveled were Atlanta and New Jersey, would y'all still think it was a good thing?Comment -

#20You didn't answer my question, pavy: Would you think it was a good thing if storms/natural disasters leveled Atlanta?Originally posted by pavyracerWillie I do not wish destruction to anyone but my business right now is hurting. #21You can't tell that by the weather here now. We have a tropical system parked over Alabama. The temps climb up to the upper 90s and then it storms and rains every afternoon leaving us with a muggy evening.Originally posted by Jimmy ProffettWe're in a La Nina oscillation phase currently according to what I've read. #22Yes. I answered it earlier. The city of Atlanta is corrupt. This will provide enough work for us for the next 50 years if it actually happens. My fear is that the contracts will not be awarded based on the firm's skills but will be awarded based on politics if you know what I mean.Originally posted by Willie BeeYou didn't answer my question, pavy: Would you think it was a good thing if storms/natural disasters leveled Atlanta?Comment -
