Judge: State ban on protests at military funerals unconstitutional
Missouri's tight restrictions on protests and picketing outside military funerals were tossed out by a federal judge Monday, over free speech concerns.

I'm curious to see how the board feels about this.

I personally find Phelps and his people disgusting, but I find myself compelled to support their right to express themselves, as the limits on speech we've seen can be carried to even greater extremes if we legally limit these people. Even more importantly, I find the rights of the counter-protesters to humiliate them sacred. If you follow them in the news, they're pretty funny.

Couldn't have said it much better myself. When you start to draw a line limiting free speech it's the beginning of the end. Though those people are fvckin' crazy as shit.

I can honestly say if someone I cared about died and I saw this group of worthless anti-americans there, Id drive my car right into them as fast as possible. Filthy excuse for humans that dont deserve to be alive.

I don't think there should be a law banning it, but anyone who would protest at a military funeral deserves to die a painful death. Preferably some sort of car accident involving their closest family members and friends.

I live in KC, and fully plan to picket and party at Phelps' funeral when he dies.

Gonzo head down to Topeka and you can visit him personally...got to love Fred. There's a time and place, but when you protest at a military funeral you've got to have a few screws loose
