If 12 folks beat 'ThePrick' in a week, and those 12 made the nominal $50 deposit to DSI, $10K will be given away. If your argument is, why are folks who don't want to deposit $50 to a sportsbook at the beginning of the NFL/NCAAF betting year on a sports handicapping site, then that's a fair Q.

Cash will go to the players, and points will go to those who choose not to fund. That's the way the contest sponsor wants it, and it's a great deal for both.

You know it is a little surprising to me that you did not have several that you can choose from instead of just one. It sure would have been nice if you had say 5 to 10 books that you can deposit this with instead of just one. I can trust DSI and all I ask for is not to get a phone call every week to deposit more and I am fine with this. I know bet Phoenix was doing that for a while and it was driving me nuts. It is cool if they call say once a month but every week was getting annoying. I see that they have a high rating and has been honest with players so I will not have a problem with putting $50 into an account with them. I am just a little shocked that you did not have more books that was willing to do this.

Dear God....... I have never seen so many people complaining about a free lunch. If you go 4-0, you should have cleaned up on your book, and you will get a nice bonus from The Prick........ I think SBR John should give a contest entry fee refund to those who don't like the rules. I personally think this is a MUCH better format than last year.

It really is wayyyyy better than last year. The single A+ sponsor was a huge coup and many thanks to DSI. Last year we had Rebate Wager(no offense we love all sponsors sorta equally) and a bunch of others. BTP will be farrrr more easy to get your hands on the cash this year.

They will call you, at least that was my experience using them last year. I eventually got them to stop though.

The Prick was a little short on details. They will come out officially I think on Monday.

From what I understand;

If you have a funded DSI account with at least $50, when you win you win cash. If you dont have a DSI account with $50 in it you win SBR points.

Pretty simple. Like last year when guys went 3-1 they usually won like $200. This year it will double because the weekly went from $5000 to $10k. So a guy would get $400 if he has a DSI account with $50 , but if he does not have a DSI account then he wins 400 points.

With the $5,000 guaranteed now it is like last year in terms of prizes awarded weekly. So the free loaders will be stupid not to deposit $50. If it was left as originally planned it would have created problems.

I dont mind guys firing shots but its a free contest, take it or leave it. Special emphasis on 'free'. The rules are what they are. Its like a guy handing out $5's on the street and pavy is screaming they should be 10's and he could/and will write for two days why.

I never quite understood this logic. since it is a free contest i guess people should just keep their mouth shut and not add anything at all. I think Pavy made some great points. Look the bottom line is that u want to keep this contest just the way it is and hope the free loaders have the most winners each and every week. Im not knocking this because this is ur best outcome.
