The ump in the Marlins game just called a foul ball that was clearly fair. It would have ended the game. Horrible!!!!

Walk-Off Base Hit by Marlins Called Foul. Horrendous Call

The Marlins started celebrating and the Phillies 3rd baseman started for the dugout as Marlins 1B Sanchez hit a ground ball down the line for the game winning hit. Everybody saw the ball go fair except 3B umpire Bob Davidson. He ruled the game winning hit foul and it cost the Marlins the game.

Phillies win 5-4 in 10 innings.

I know that, but it's an indicator. The ball never goes foul past the bag and come back into fair territory.

Thought it was fair at first, but that ball actually bounced from left to right. If you disregard where it bounced after it crossed third base, it was a lot closer than it seemed. Can't remember a ball ever taking that angle before.

Exactly right. It was fair before and after the bag, but when it was passing by the base, it was very very close.
