The streak of scoreless 1H ended w/ Spain v. CR. But wait... there's another streak that's still there. When Spain didn't score in the 2H, it was then the fourth straight match that a team has not score in both halves. Can USA repeat what Spain did and grab in nice lead by halftime and then simply have a scoreless 2H? Why not!?

USA to score in both halves: No +725

Date Night #3: USA v. Vietnam: USA to score in both halves: No +725 and u5.5 (+135)

Bettors are big on Team USA at the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

Currently 43% of action is taking the U.S. to win a record 3rd straight tournament at +225 odds. The rest of the action is primarily behind England (+500), Spain (+450) and Germany (+800).

Team USA has +125 odds to reach the Final, which is another market taking significant action. They’ve been to the Final in the last 3 tournaments. Japan has reached the Final in 2 of the last 3 World Cups, and is set at +1200 odds to make another run.

    Prop Watch: Top Goalscorer

Alex Morgan tops the odds board to be the leading goal scorer at the World Cup.

Sitting at +450 odds, Morgan tied for the lead at the previous tournament by racking up 6 goals throughout the tournament. Fellow teammate Sophia Smith is set at +600 to be the top scorer, with Australian Sam Kerr (+800) shortly behind.

Team USA will have the opportunity to rack up goals against a weak Vietnam side in their open on Friday, which has oddsmakers high on their scoring potential.

Lame performance from USA so far? +6 looks pretty good.

Asking a lot to beat any team by 7 goals. They can chose to simply play defense and not allow the easy counters that tend to create inflated scores.

Yup, and missed PK won't help. We're getting a lot of missed PKs already. I think that's #3 so far.

I was hoping USA would've scored the same as Spain w/ 3 goals and then repeat a scoreless 2H. With that missed PK, a 2 goal lead is not leading comfortably. USA will at least double their 1H output with the score looking like 4-0 or 5-0. But please not 6-0... lol

Nice job to limit the scoring by Vietnam.

Shame they could not get a shot off though.

I am in Vietnam right now for my son's wedding and these guys love their team, long time.

    Japan wins, 5-0.

Women's WCup expanded from 24 to 32 teams this year. Just too many teams. This is the 2nd consecutive game where a team was held without a Shot.

Top of the women's game is pretty concentrated. The mis-match games are very lopsided. So unlikely for even a Draw to be the result in these games.

That is what a thought USA would’ve done to Vietnam but it was only 3-0 victory.

    Preview:

In their first match of the Women's World Cup 2023, Denmark Women will go up against China PR Women at the Perth Rectangular Stadium.

While Denmark are appearing at the World Cup for the first time since 2007, China are attending the tournament for a third consecutive time.

They scored 40 goals and conceded just twice to win all eight of their qualifying games, ensuring that they will make their fifth World Cup appearance.

After failing to make it out of the group stage in their two appearances at the tournament, Denmark are hoping to reach the knockout rounds for the first time since 1995.

In addition to China, Denmark's group contains European champions England and Haiti, who are making their Women's World Cup debut.

After a run of four consecutive victories was brought to an end with a 2-0 defeat to Spain in their final warm-up game, Lars Sondergaard's side will be looking to return to winning ways on Saturday.

China, meanwhile, are preparing to make their eighth World Cup appearance after securing qualification with a successful performance at the 2022 Asian Cup.

After easing through the group stage, China claimed a 3-1 quarter-final victory over Vietnam to advance to the semi-finals and seal their place at the World Cup.

With qualification assured, China went on to beat Japan and South Korea to lift the Asian Cup for the ninth time in their history.

We say: Denmark Women 1-1 China PR Women

With only one place separating Denmark and China in the FIFA World Rankings, we expect Saturday's encounter to be a cagey affair, and we think that both countries may have to be content with a share of the spoils.

This Denmark team reminds me of Swiss with a lot of unnecessary backfield passing and not enough attaching.
