What kind of value do you have on the Padres tonight, if any? I like getting them at almost +150 with Darvish
I had this opener correct yesterday in another thread, before it came out. I also expected the +175 to drop and to be honest I can make a range of forecasts here. It's a tough one to pin down but since I had the opener, I think we might be seeing some real value there on SD.
I wasn't surprised to see that line go from an early +175 to get picked up by others in the +160's and even as low as the +150's before getting back to the low and mid 160's.
There is a battle of public money vs sharp money (not exactly, but there's a battle here on this line with the mostly unsophisticated bettors willing to pay any price for LAD while I believe more influential money wants a deal on SD) and houses picking up the lower numbers first were ok with sellling some LAD to get it back the 160's while discouraging some of the SD play with the lower number (see CRIS).
With all of that, I actually feel I have a grasp on that game, despite where some of my numbers stand outside of the market.
I have mulitple levels of no vig lines that approach -130/+130.
I think that comes into play here and that the market has a lot of room as some might go as low +140 on SD while also knowing they can charge almost anything for LAD and it won't deter some bettors.
I expect some pretty big volume on this game, there's a lot of room to gather bets in the marketplace for almost any house.

However, Philly was the second worst with 25 wins.
Being at home and giving the fans a chance to get off and get there, I think it ups the value a little with the Braves playing a night game now
Perhaps. I hope you are right. Braves need this game. They will try....

Braves come through, can the Padres come through to make it 2-0 tonight for the value plays? Feel like there’s so much value on my number for San Diego that I must have a mistake, but I’m not finding one.
It may have been just that kind of market I mentioned above.
