I wonder what Vegas will be like in the years ahead....

Macau will take over & Vegas will be like Atlantic city.
Cant recover from this, Most hotels have closed & lay offs have commenced.
Boyd is losing 4 Mil/DAY - 9 months till insolvent
MGM losing 15Mil/DAY - 9 nmonths till insolvent
Penn National 7Mil/DAY - 5 months till insolvent
    Red Rock 1.7 Mil/DAY - 13 months till insolvent

No WSOP this year so Ceasars will hurt as well.

There will be gambling in Vegas but the variety & volume will be greatly decreased.

Cruise ships & river boat casinos will be more popular than Vegas.

What if a city like Provo or Decatur capitalize on this.
They could become the new gambling meca.
...maybe Niagra Falls or Saskatoon, who knows

Vegas is toast. They put all their eggs in one basket and the basket fell on the floor.

Over 100,000 vacant unattended unsecured hotel rooms.
Vegas will be flooded with guys like JJ gold, no one here and Brock Landers. They will create makeshift homes in these rooms and get their fresh water from underneath the overpasses.
Fighting over toilet paper left in public bathrooms will be common, guys like JJ and Brock Landers will not fare well in this sort of competitive environment.
It's not going to be pretty

What about self-enclosed gambling pods, sealed so no outside viruses can penetrate it. All the casino games at your fingertips, small holes for you to put your arms through, so you can reach for your free drinks. I think we're on to something here, coach

The rooms are far from unsecured. I was on the Strip yesterday; the hotels are locked up and there's plenty of security. I probably saw almost as many security guards and cops as I did other people.

the assets will survive bankruptcy............ so simply new owners for many casinos.

no reason for the action to go elsewhere.

now, as to whether fewer people will go to casinos, that's the interesting question. seems to me that there will be the fewer people. i think this has changed the world............ there is an argument that everything is back to normal in 3 years or so. but not 1 year after "all clear signal"

Who logged into your account Jay? No way you posted this nonsense.

Macau has been the dominant gambling scene for well over a decade. Let me know when American tourists and convention groups go to Macau instead of Vegas.

The Vegas economy will bounce back just like the rest of the world. People are always going to want to gamble, drink, party with others.

    Cruise ships are floating caskets.

Vegas will be yesterdays news after the virus is finally is gone. Why go there when you can bet on the internet on sites like Heritage , 5 Dimes and Bookmaker from your recliner. Costs of flying, hotel rooms, transportation and etc costs adds up.

Vegas is like a cat....9 lives

The city/ state will come up with some way to get the hotels full

    Expanded conventions at discounts

    No gaming tax

    Extra incentives for gamblers

    New acts

    Big outdoor parties

    Vegas Hockey and Football

    Legalize prostitution

    Legal street weed

The greatest thing about Vegas is the CITY government works with it.

The bottom line is what counts. Vegas will have to give away hotel rooms and etc to get sports bettors back to Vegas.

    Whos gonna pay for it?
the employees are already working for peanuts and are all part time.
    whats next ....
even money black jack and 3 greens on the roulette wheel
    40 cent sports book lines?

Providing all these incentives is fine and dandy but at what costs...
no more free drinks? Credit card swipe on the toilet paper?
