Apparently, it is possible if you can count cards and follow a very strict discipline that almost no one can probably manage to do consistently day in and day out.

There is someone who posted what he was doing and he was clearing over 60K a year for many continuous years without a losing year before he stopped posting because everyone was basically calling him a liar. I believed him 100% and he even cleared over 60K only like 3 or 4 months into the year and the rest of the year was a cake walk as he cleared over 100K that year.

I bookmarked the website where I was reading his posts until he stopped, so I will need to look it up and see if i still have it so I can post it here for you. Then, you can go see it for yourself.

It's a rare feat to be able to do what he did and I would say he is one of kind and all the ones calling him a liar were the ones who are nothing but losers and they cannot handle the truth about someone who has managed to beat a casino game.

Like what Sam Odom said, it's not possible to do it online and I'm almost certain it's also impossible to do it with the automatic shufflers but it's possible with the hand shuffled decks which is the case for the high limit tables at certain casinos.

If I have some time to kill, then I will look it up and post the link here.

bro... have you ever played roulette? you can make a bet red or black, odd or even. there are 38 numbers...18 red, 18 black, 2 green. 18/38 =.473. Where are you getting this 30% bs ? I feel like you shouldn't even be gambling if you can't understand this and you've been on this gambling forum for 10 years? Quit if you can

Online blackjack- never ever play this. completely rigged.

my best advice I can give you in blackjack is pick an amount you want to win mb 500 or 1000, its all relative, and the second you hit it just leave. Don't get cocky and think you are going to win 20k. You will lose it all back and the stack you started with 99% of the time if you get greedy.

Winning 20K wasn't too hard as I won 25K, 17K, 14K, and 13K on different weekends playing $50 to $100 table limits. Keeping them afterwards was the harder part as I have lost them all back not too soon after and it was all due to chasing and betting 1K+ a hand.

Ever since the shuffling machines were introduced, never again won those amounts so I don't bother with blackjack anymore. It's even worse now with the continuous shuffling machines; although $50 and $100 table limits still use the regular shufflers or hand shuffles.

I came back to sports betting this year after 7 years that I laid off it, and I thought I won only about 10K this year and I wasn't even close when I added up all the figures. It's the pesky wife who keeps on taking my money in thousands I keep on forgetting about. I won another 2K with the casino games and 900 on Syracuse this past weekend and 2K on Clemson, so that's at least 15K total since October. If I didn't hedge any of my parlays, then it would be well over 23K.

If I were you, the sports betting is 100 times better than the casino games so stick with the sports betting. No questions asked.

Ok, I found it. The player name is kewlj at wizardofvegas. He has some interesting stories to tell if you read through all his posts.

I wanted to meet the guy so bad, but by the time I tried to contact him he was already gone. I stumbled onto that site right near when he left so it was too late. I was really into playing blackjack; although I could never master the counting not that it would have really worked with all these damn casinos putting the cut cards so far into the decks and it's nearly impossible to play one on one unless you are in the $100 pit. In order to play in the $100 pit, you need a 10K bankroll, which I have but not in any mood to doing any of it these days as I'm getting too old to grind for really long hours.

His profile says that he last visited December 21, 2018, so I guess he drops by here and there. It will be interesting to see if he has continued to making a living being a blackjack player. He said he pays income taxes on his blackjack winnings and that's his profession and his only job.

Here's a post by kewlj where he talks about how much he has made per year in the early 2010's and a comment from that post.

He said he made $81,075 in 2012 and $115,425 in 2013, but only $27,345 in 2014.

"So here's my solo play blackjack numbers for 2014: $27,345 vs EV of $87,622 for the amount of play I put in. That's less than 30% of expectation. For comparison purposes, my 2012 results were $81,075 and my 2013 results $115,425. So my 27 grand is about 1/4 of what I have averaged over the last 2 years. Yikes!"

Kewlj's first 5 year winning totals, which I think is pretty incredible.

All hotels comped. All food/drinks comped. You get to play games to make an earning instead of having to work to make a living.

Like I said before, he is one of a kind.

    2010 +$78,925
2011 +$62,050 (missed almost 3 months after heart surgery)
    2012 +$81,075
    2013 +$115,425
    2014 +$27,345

Unless of course you see a beautiful woman with NICE RACK rolling for the first time, than play the PASS LINE

Damn, I just read a thread posted by kewlj and he is talking about a vault company that got robbed where all these professional blackjack and poker players keep their cash in millions and they think it's an inside job.

I guess if you are a professional gamblers then you need a big bankroll of cash somewhere and keeping them in a house just isn't safe.

It's an interesting life to live but if you are good enough to do it then I would say it's a worthwhile to give it a shot.

Blackjack is not winnable long term unless you're cutting 10's and aces and you can get a glimpse of the bottom card during shuffle and also get real good at calibrating your eyes on the cut.
