I hit more fairways than Tiger today, and did not even golf today.
And once again the media is hanging onto Tiger's rooster like he's relevant.
He's Vince Carter of the PGA.

They don't have a choice. Even if they hated the guy he still dwarfs any other player on the tour in crowds and viewership. Even now, people still will tune in just to watch him and not give a fuk about the person leading. Hell I watched his round today and the second it was over I changed the channel.

Unde is spot on right now. Golf is 1000000x better when Tiger is around and playing.
It is a snooze fest otherwise.

Exactly, there is a reason some of these companies pay him to come and play. They already know their viewership will go through the roof no matter where he finishes or who else is even playing. People want to see Tiger fukin Woods.

rarely small schools dangerous
Here and there a club team makes a mini run but for the most part all big name schools win

Can't disrespect any of you guys opinions, eight years ago he was king, now he's all fluff and hype.
Like the 40 year old man who once dated a super model 20 years ago thinking she's coming back.

Tough to say that now without the brackets, but I would not want to play them if they get in....They would prolly be a 13 seed.

OK, most of them were there so they can say later in life "I saw Tiger play in person"
Riddle me this? When was the last time Tiger won a PGA event?
The correct answer would be almost five years ago.
Part 2
Since winning his last PGA event, how many top ten finishes has he had?
The correct answer would be one.
Part 3
In that almost five year span, how many top 25 finishes has he had?
The correct answer would be four.
Now riddle me this, does this make him relevant?

He is relevant because:
A. He was probably the greatest player of all time. Love Jack but Tiger is the goat.
B. He doesn't have to do anything more. He has nothing more to prove. Anything else would just be icing on a cake he baked himself. He plays in whatever tournament he wants because he basically has unlimited exemptions because he won every tournament at least once.
C. He is so great that even when he is mediocre people would rather watch him then players in their prime. Who else can say that? Seriously.
Riddle say whhhaaaattttttt

He was relevant, no more.
And yes, he is the second greatest golfer of all time.
Babe Ruth isn't relevant anymore either, that doesn't diminish his greatness either, not hating on what Tiger has accomplished.
Just questioning his relevance, his place among the top golfers of 2018, he's not a top 25 golfer in 2018.
It's like going to see 42 year old Willy Mays when he was ending his career with the Mets, it wasn't the same as 28 year old Willy Mays on the Giants. but it was still Willy Mays. Are you getting my point here?
p.s. the Brooklyn Nets are so bad

Probably is, and if he gives the game positive attention, then that's a good thing, once again if I want to or you want to go out and see Tiger you should know you aren't going to get 2006 Tiger Woods, you're goimg to get a watered down older version of a still pretty good golfer but no longer not nearly as great as he once was.
Holy crap Brooklyn cut it to ten, they still suck

Nasher...you are missing the entire point though...
Of course Tiger is not or never will be as great as he was....
But when he is there, people show up, people watch...Those are the FACTS.

Nasher, he is playing for the love of the game. Its the closing chapter on a great career. Golf allows for older players to keep playing. Hell there has been several 40+ year olds to win tournaments. Fuk Watson almost won the British Open a few years back and he is older than shit. It isn't like he is out there and people are trying to push him to give it up. It is exactly the opposite. People are still coming out in droves cheering him on. Many, including myself, hoping he will put it together for a weekend and take us down memory lane. I want to see one more of these:
Who knows, now that his back seems to be fine, maybe it will happen. I know one thing. Watching his short game this week shows me that he is actually putting in the time, unlike years past. If he tightens that swing up who knows. For once, since years ago he actually looks like he is having fun out there. Makes me believe he is finally mentally at peace again. Only time will tell but if he is in the hunt at any major championship the ratings will completely explode.

Go make some money tomorrow, I'm rooting for you, I need this Celtic game to stay under 219, if nothing funky happens and you know it will, I should cash.

it appears so my friend. You asked me if he is relevant and he is. I understand what you are saying and in a scoring point of view, no he is not the same Tiger obviously. I say yes because he brings people out and bring a buzz to the game. When the guy can enter a tournament and have ticket sales go up by 400% then I would say he is relevant.
Anyways, good luck on your Celtics bet.

I waas just watching St. Bonnie dismantle George Washington, and I said to myself this would be a tough out in March.
5 minutes later the analyst said the same thing.
Yes GW is not very good, but their turnover to take away rate is top 25 in the nation.
The Bonnies are solid.
