The only question I need answered.... clearly there is bad blood between Irving and James. There's no way Cleveland management would of made this deal otherwise.

So... what happened between them??? Anyone know?

    Irving= $.10 brain w/$1,000,000 jump shot
    Boston will not do better
    Cleveland got better-short term

    Conspiracy theory
Boston tanks/rests players on all games vs. Nets

Call me crazy but Boston got better deal unless the pick ends up being something special. PUT it this way I love IT and everything but I think he hit highest potential last. Will be best season he'll ever have. And Kyrie is about to hit his prime...

Boston got rid of 3 of their 4 best players in bring in Hayward and Irving, not sure if the moves help much success more dependent on Tatum and Brown.

Cavs may seek more asset due to IT's hip concern. Boston is in tough place here. They either give up more assets or take back 2 unhappy players. How well could IT and Crowder play for them knowing that they were almost traded after playing their heart out for the team?

You could say the same thing about Irving with Cavs. Only thing Boston should offer more is a 2nd round pick.

No you couldn't. That relationship was already broke -he asked to be traded! Cavs are playing dirty here.

It's a case of you don't ask you don't get. They're not worried about burning bridges since it's unlikely they'd do future deals with their rival anyway.

According to latest rumors, cavs want either Jaylen Brown or Jayson Tatum included in the trade. Curious to see how this will end, but I don't see any way how the Celtics could move on of the trade was canceled.

Ainge should hang up at this suggestion. Cavs need this deal more than Boston does. They will not get a better offer and Irving will not report to camp if he isn't dealt. Celts should counteroffer an additional 2nd rounder or their own 1st in 2019. Nothing more.

    Worst case deal gets voided.

Boston gets screwed either way. If the deal is voided, they get IT back and pretty much have to trade him. And that would be hard to do given the health issues.

He is not a guy to build a team around

I feel Cavs can be better than last year if Thomas can play. I always love Crowder's game. Cavs suddenly have assets to trade around for more good players if they want.

    "sweeten the deal" ?

    2nd round 2020 pick

Isn't that like throwing in a Blu Ray after you sell the house.
Did that really put the deal through! REALLY!
