Yeah I'd go with the Cavs getting the better deal here. That pick will help rebuild if Thomas leaves. Irving has two years left before he bolts.

Thomas gets exposed to much on the defense event because of his size, Kyrie Irving a much better talent a little older of course
He had a career year also

Irving better than Thomas in every single facet even looking for hand outs from the refs
Draft picks in nba are hit or miss, lotto tickets. Not at all like nfl

I'm surprised they traded Irving to East team, but I guess it was best deal.
Boston should be favored to lose to GSW in finals next season.

cavs easily got the better of that deal. Ainge just couldnt stay the course building a team first deep basketball team. Irving wants 50 points a game not a championship.

Good trade for both sides.
This also tells us Lebron is guaranteed gone next season.

1) It makes Boston a better team.
2) Cavs lose james next year then so even if it looks good for 2017, that's it.
3) Crowder wasn't going to be happy getting way less minutes than Haywood anyway, plus he is average role player.
4) Draft pick (Brooklyn's ) is tough to swallow as celts fan, but we shall see.

Win Win
Boston will own East for a couple years
A lot of pressure on Thomas to make this work with LeBron and stick it to Boston. Should be fun to watch these teams battle for no. 1 seed. Egos on the line now!

Cav's got a steal. If that draft pick is protected then the Cavs also raped and pillaged. Cavs can now compete with GS.

Celtics team really taking shape now.
Probably one of the better deals Cleveland could have gotten since they got the Nets pick.

Isiah wants to be a max contract guy next year. Lebron is gone ( probably to lakers) .
Crowder is a bench guy who is limited and minutes would be diminished next year with the arrival of Haywood.
Draft pick might come back to hurt, but for 2017/2018 it makes the Celtics much better.

Will the Bulls and Dwyane Wade reach a buyout?
Apparently, not only do people close to LeBron James believe it’ll happen, they have a read on Wade’s destination.
Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com:
As of right now, people close to James are fairly confident that, at some point this year, Dwyane Wade is going to end up on the Cavs.
