Official Bernie Sanders for President 2016 thread

I urge you all to consider supporting Bernie. He's been one of the only champions of working-class people for the last 20 plus years. He's the longest serving independent in the history of congress.

If you consider where Bernie is on the issues; taxing the super-rich, regulating wall st, investing in infrastructure, single-payer health care, free college, reversing our insane trade policies that allows good-paying jobs to be outsourced to low-wage countries, etc. These issues garner massive support from the public (both progressives and conservatives)

Bernie is everything we wanted Obama to be. Unlike Obama, Bernie does not have the blessing of the ruling elites (because he won't be doing their bidding), so to get Bernie elected it's going to take a massive grassroots movement.

The working-class has been divided and conquered. We've been divided on all these stupid issues; gays, race, religion, classism among ourselves (which is penetrating moronic). and when you people buy into this shit and vote against your economic interests, you empower the ruling elites, you're basically an uncle tom, the lowest form of life. working-class people, don't be economic uncle tom's, support Bernie.

obama is young and black. most of his policies suck. reagan was old too. reagan obviously sucked but age shouldn't disqualify bernie if it didn't disqualify reagan.

to call bernie status-quo is laughable. look at the reforms he wants and say again with a straight face bernie is status-quo.

there are only a handful of issues i don't agree with bernie on. the only one that really jumps out at me is the israel/palestine conflict. some say he's kind of a hawk, i think those charges are laughable, he has voted for bombing in certain conflicts though.

but economically he's clearly not status-quo. is the status quo the the elites should pay considerably higher tax rates? that we should fire for-profit insurance companies, have the government be the insurer and cover everyone at half the cost? that income earned through work shouldn't be taxed at a higher rate than income earned through investment? that corporations aren't paying enough in taxes? that we should invest a few trillion in roads, high-speed rail, bridges, water/sewer pipe, airports, etc.? that instead of cutting social security we should in fact strengthen it? that college should be free? that we should have paid maternity leave? that corporations aren't people and money isn't speech?

the country would improve considerably with president bernie sanders and about 300 of his allies in congress.

Anyone who doesn't know that Hillary is already the president, via bilderberg, you simply aren't qualified to talk about politics. Our votes will not matter.

George soros is a big player come election time also. Anyone know why?

sourtwat is a moron as usual. soros is a fraction of the player that the kochs are.

Kochs Spend More Than Steyer Or Soros On Elections. The Kochs have spent, and continue to spend, far more to influence elections than Tom Steyer or George Soros who are often portrayed as the Kochs' liberal counterparts:
    • In the 2012 election cycle, the Koch brothers channeled over $400 million through their groups "active in the 2012 elections," according to the Washington Post. [Washington Post, 1/5/14]
    • This year, the Daily Beast reported that Koch groups plan to spend $290 million on elections. [Daily Beast, 6/13/14]
    • George Soros personally spent $1 million in the last election, and all his donations were disclosed in "publicly accessible records." [Huffington Post, 4/9/14]
    • Tom Steyer announced in February that he aimed to raise and match $50 million (for a total of $100 million) through his super PAC for the 2014 elections. [New York Times, 2/17/14

HEY SOURTWAT YOU penetrating DUMBASS WHY DON'T YOU SUPPORT OVERTURNING CITIZENS UNITED IF YOU DON'T THINK YOUR VOTE MATTERS AT ALL?

see... i disagree that it doesn't matter at all. it's just that with all that money on the airwaves idiots like you are easy to manipulate into voting against their interests. so your vote doesn't really matter because it's not your vote, if it was you're vote you'd vote for bernie. yet... thanks to C.U. your dumbass will probably be convinced that scott walker represents your interests.

if he's a good candidate why can't he win? hillary is a terrible candidate and the corporate media has anointed her. suddenly you accept what the corporate media says (you may know it on fox as the "liberal media")?

i've always maintained that working-class conservatives should actually support bernie but they're too stupid and won't because "baby killin" or "dem mexicans" or "dem gays" or "dey gonna take my guns" or whatever the retarded reason they vote for republicans is.

Working-class conservatives should vote for the person who has the toughest stance on border control.

not really... who gives a penetrate about mexicans coming over here when all the manufacturing jobs are in vietnam or china already? of course i think we should protect the border.

immigrants aren't the problem. after all, the elites want them here so they can exploit them for cheap labor (dickhead reagan got rid of the law that imprisoned employers for hiring illegals).

look at all the industries that used to pay well, meatpacking/cutting, construction, trucking, etc. but at the end of the day it's not the mexicans fault, he's just trying to survive the best way he can.

No, illegal Mexican immigrants are a very serious issue. American will no longer be able to be the world super power when the majority of the population are socialist voting Mexicans with mid eighty IQ's. They don't suddenly change their politics when entering America, stop looking towards Sweden at look at Mexico, that's America's future.

The elites that allowed them into the country because it's good for business are traitors. You'll never have any community spirit because multicultural societies don't allow for that, you only get tension. Everything is not about economic efficiency, but a country can only support so many unskilled workers. Every illegal that hops the border creates more strain on the system, it's already broken and people don't care about their neighbor anymore.

The leftists that you point to as great humanitarians are the most vindictive people in politics, who hate those who have philosophical differences to them and wish them to suffer, even if it's at their own expense.

are you from Vermont? I know Bernie personally, I lived in Vermont for a long time before moving and worked with him on a child labor law petition when I was in 8th grade. Hes an incredibly intelligent guy and this would be great but unfortunately it wont happen. He would be the kind of break through president that would shake things up beyond belief but both parties would destroy him and saying hes a radical if he ever got close.

Scumbag, what I am saying is that there is a bigger power at play than simply enough people going to the polls to vote for the best candidate.

Your allegiance is clearly with Mexico, and that is totally understandable.

May I ask you a question, if you wanted to conserve a nation do you think it is wise to allow those with a foreign allegiance, foreign culture and foreign interest to immigrate?

I understand how society operates and the inevitable politics associated with outgroups. The more homogeneous the makeup of a society is, the more community spirit and less social tensions. Japan and South Korea are good examples of this, I've visited both nations.

Just for the record, the Irish were terrible immigrants, they supported liberal polices.

I understand your position, and you would be more correct in your political philosophy than scumbag, but it's time to go to big boy school.

When a subversive movement, Cultural Marxism in this instance, outlines it goals quite clearly and then goes about them, I find it superfluous to start talking about the illuminate. Lets deal with the problems slapping us in the face.

I would argue that faux capitalists/corporatists allowed excessive Mexican immigration because it was good for business in the short term, I don't believe they were rubbing their hands together wishing for the downfall of America. They were selfish, just as the salve owners were.

Please don't take offense, I didn't always know what I do today either.
