This is an early morning game, so the crowd won’t be liwuored up rooting for the under dog as much. Plus most of them will be Duke fans, who do not like UConn anyway. UF on a neutral court. Forget about it.

Damn, what a game but I lost 2Gs on that shit. Gators waited until the last 4 minutes to play. Stressful and costly game.

SEC gets 7 teams in the sweet Sixteen. Almost half the field. Wow! I said this year was different.
1 Auburn - W W
1 Florida - W W
2 Alabama - W W
2 Tennessee - W W
3 Kentucky - W W 6 Ole Miss - W W 10 Arkansas - W W
Hmmm, I think that’s a great bet for the SEC. I think 6 out of the 7 SEC teams all have a good shot at winning it all. I really only see Duke, Houston and maybe MSU (who is not a good shooting team) with a shot at winning. No way those other 6 teams are winning anything. Honestly Duke and maybe Houston are the only other contenders. Can a freshman like Flagg lead Duke to a title? That does not happen often. Houston’s offense is always a question mark for me. Can they score if shots aren’t falling?

Alabama and Florida punches their ticket into the Elite 8. UK/UT, one will make it as well. That’s 3 guaranteed out of 8 with Arkansas to go tonight, Ole Miss, and Auburn tomorrow. I think the SEC should get 4 out of the 8.

Hogs go out. Could have been six SEC teams in the Final 8.

What a heartbreaking loss for hog fans. Brutal. Calipari is a poor in game coach. Up 16 and lose? Up 3 with 10 seconds left and you don’t foul and let TT tie the game with a 3? He also didn’t foul Mario Chalmers in the title game in the exact situation at Memphis. Game tied and loses in OT. What a dumb fuk. You always foul and never let a team get up a 3.
Then they still had a chance to win but their best 2 players never got the ball on the last possession. The dude who took both shots at the end of regulation and OT is a choke. Smallest guy on TT locked him down both times. Worst of all. Calipari had 2 timeouts. You can’t take them with you. Dumb fuk….

4 SEC teams from each region remaining in the Elite 8. They really should have had 6 out of 8 but both Mississippi teams choked on dicks after having huge leads.
I had all 8 teams in my bracket.

Books really love Duke. I kind think the Big12 has value. Houston really could win it all. Final Four in San Antonio would give them (and TT) an edge.

I'm worried about the referees today. They will try to keep SEC from having more teams in the Final Four. They will make sure Mich St goes in as they need the fanbase for ratings. If Tennessee beats Houston then Auburn has to play perfect game to beat MSU and the refs.

Tom Izzo is 10-0 vs the SEC….
SEC teams dropping like flies. Is it a failure if they only get 1 team in the FF? Does UF have to win it all?

Going in I liked Florida to be able to challenge Duke but the way they have played all tournament they will get bitch slapped. Clayton won't get a chance to hit a few 3s at the end because they will be down 15 to 20 if that is the product they come with for the first 15 minutes like they have. Tech bailed them out and that is the only reason they are still in simple as that.

The Gators are really playing the worst basketball of the season but all you can do is survive and advance. They have had to play a crap load of basketball the last 3 weeks and have to travel all over the US. Having to go out West did not help. While Duke and Auburn was able to play on their backyards. I think getting 6 days rest is going to do wonders for them. They need it.

Well 2 SEC teams made the Final Four and at least one will play for the title. 7 sweet 16 teams. 4 elite 8 teams. I call that very successful for the league.

Will give one comment on this:
*Holy shit, it's hard to knock off a Favorite nowadays.
*The top talent is so hi-end. Duke, as an example, has assembled an amazing roster.
*Purdue gave great effort and played about as well as they could. Not enough to KO a 1-seed

Those are some pretty petty excuses Mac. I will root for them regardless as my best friend is the biggest Gator fan I have ever met but I even told him that team is lucky as hell to be still playing and sure as hell isn't winning anymore games without bringing their play up double what it has been. To be honest with you I don't even think their best will beat Duke but it won't get them embarrassed like it would if that team who played against TT shows up.

Because the favorites have all the best players from the dogs via the transfer portal.

The committee ranked the teams correctly. Last 8 only a #3 cracked in and Final Four all #1s. So the seeding was done perfectly and they didn't favor any of the smaller teams to threaten the Big 8.

Not an excuse Unde, it’s facts. We see it in the NBA every other day. A good team gets beat by a below average team because they are on a back to back or coming off a west coast trip.
The Gators played 7 games in 15 days. That’s insane. Everyone of those games were emotional, win or go home games in the SEC tourney and the NCAA tourney. Plus had to travel to Nashville then San Francisco. It’s pretty remarkable they’re still standing. Here’s the list of teams they’ve faced in the last few weeks.
uGA - tourney team
Texas AM - tourney team
Alabama - 2 seed
Ole Miss - tourney team
Missouri - tourney team
Alabama again
Tennessee - another 2 seed
UConn - 2 time defending champs
Maryland - Crab 5, tourney team
Texas Tech, a 3 seed.
Now they get a week off to finally rest. Much needed rest. I think they’ll play better next week. Duke clearly the favorite but I won’t discount any of these teams from here.
