half of you guys are dicks and the other half are clueless, and some of the clueless are probably dicks too....first of all nobody has to give anything so why hate on what people give? second, there are obvious tax benefits that are being taken advantage of (not to say they dont actually care), but its not ONLY about helping others. Third, most of durrants money will never hit victims bank account, not sure about kemps...but seriously, comparing donations and judging the individual based on the amount is just dumb...
At least he is doing something.

People "don't" have to donate and I'm not going to rip them if they don't so I don't think we should rip Matt Kemp because at least he is doing something.
Instead of ripping Kemp, why don't we just appreciate what a good person Durant is. He donated a million dollars and wasn't even going to say anything. It went public because the Red Cross tweeted it.
Durant wasn't even in Oklahoma at the time but he is flying back home tonight so he can go see kids at hospitals tomorrow. He is a great person.

Dont understand being critical of anyone who donates to a cause. There are no parameters on how much one should give. Secondly, No matter how much these guys donate, it will not make a dent. The Federal govt will have to bear the burden of these costs, and are the only entity in America who can afford to help.

As for Kemp, that offer is brutal. He;s gonna donate 3k. So why bother doing that? That's about 6 pennies for him and really, what's 3k for the cause? lol.
It's kind of brutal since he is off roids now and back to his normal status. One of the few who snuck it in without getting caught n makes 120 mill. Bet the Dodgers would love to have that money back so they could spend it taking on another bloated Redsox contract at the deadline this year.

Kemp donating $1k when he makes $20,000,000 a year is the equivalent of someone who makes $50,000 donating $2.50. With that said he doesn't have to donate a penny, but the argument could be made that this is almost purely for publicity and or a motivational tool, as it is really meaningless.
