    I'm fading R.A Dickey tonight

Here's why I like +172 in this spot.

My spot plays with Masterson have been kind to me in the past.
Who remembers that Indian game last year with Masterson when we had the Tribe @+190 and we got that 2 run homer in the ninth with two outs?

    1) No disrespect, I applaud his Cy Young award season last year, but I don't see him coming close to putting up those numbers again in the AL, and I think he returns to earth starting tonight.

    2) The whole world (here come the double entendre, pay attention now) seems to be on Dickey. 73 percent are on the Jays.
(Did you catch the double entendre, win valuable prizes)

    3) Even though there isn't enough of a cross reference, Bourne when he was with the Braves hit R.A good, Swisher has taken him deep when the Mets played the Yankees.

If Dickey's knuckle ball isn't fluttering, Indians will mash him.
Santana and Swisher and Reynolds will crush a 70 MPH knuckle ball that doesn't dart.
Plus I like the 9-1 speed combo of Stubbs hitting ninth and Bourne leading off.
Like having back to back speed demons, As-Cab hits second tonight, then Kipnis, then Swisher, then Brantley, then Santana.
Not murderers row, but a line up that score some runs.

Here's the rub though, Joey Bats likes to hit Masterson, Masterson can not make a mistake to him.
If he can fade Bautista for 4 at bats tonight, Jays will do limited damage.

This play isn't for the squeamish, not forcing this play on anyone, fade or pass if you want.

    I like +172 here.

    YTD 2-1

Hit the Astro play Sunday for +140
Missed with the Marlins yesterday -100
Hit the Cub play yesterday at +112

    YTD 2-1 +1.52 units

    Go get tonight fellas.

Good luck man. Got a good chance once the pens get involved. I don't see Masterson getting out of the 5th though...he's not in good form and a ground ball pitcher on turf not always a great setup. I think HOU is a better + bet today.

I don't see +172 at any shops but if you can get it I think CLE def has a better win probability that that # indicates.

    Thanks.
    I got the 172 earlier, I'm seeing 160's now.

Yeah, I am thinking Houston too, just a lean, not a play.

I'm tempted on taking a little shot with the Korean kid in Dodger land too

Only way to fade Dickey tonight is if lakerboy is on him. Anyone seen his picks for today?

Dodgers probably win..but I never bet against the Giants. So I'm on under 7 in that game. Can't see why SF bats are gonna hit any lefties right now let alone someone unfamiliar.

Harrell has been solid all spring and was lights out at home last year. Game is probably a low scoring 1 run game so can't hurt taking the + $ there. Haven't locked in that play yet though.

    Great play steve.

I'm shocked that R.A. is an opening day starter. He's going to get shelled tonight. Last season was a fluke and he won't come any where near replicating those numbers. Might win double digits game this year, that's about it.

Just because Dickey is overvalued doesn't mean he's going to get shelled by the Indians. I'd feel much safer backing him than I would Masterson and an ailing back end of the CLE pen.

Worth a small play but nothing more.

I think Colby Rasmus is the more dangerous hitter tonight then Joey Bats.

I know your chasing a price and theres a lot of players drooling to fade Dickey thinking 1 year wonder.
But this guy is for real I bet him almost every game last year he even got passed most of Brocks mushes.
He is awesome indoors really hard to beat. The times to fade Dickey is in cold or bad weather 100%.
He took the knuckler to a new level he will be tough the rest of his career how ever long that is

    Steve Nash
As always...A well-reasoned selection with plenty of value.
    Good Luck on your play

I'm agreeing more on the Brew-Crew over.
Their bats came alive late yesterday
and should continue hot vs de la Rosa.

At least someone fading Dickey finally wrote up a nice reason for why they are fading him. Getting really sick of everyone yelling FADE DICKEY HE WONT BE WHAT HE WAS LAST YEAR...

I dont get why so many people are on this game, it seems more of a skip to me. What if Dickey does get hit? So what, I think masterson has an even greater chance of getting hit, so if they get 4 or 5 runs off Dickey, the Jays can easily reply with 7 or 8 of their own.

    *adding*

This goes as a documented play

    172387059-1 4/2/13 5:35pm $100.00 $105.00 Pending 4/2/13 7:05pm MLB Baseball 959 Cleveland Indians 1st 5 Innings +½ +105* vs Toronto Blue Jays (J Masterson - R must Start R Dickey - R must Start)

Even if it's 2-2 or 1-1 after five, I get paid

Adding +1/2 run +105 for 1* as well

One more reason, Dickey was getting hit in September as the season closed.

I kind of agree here. I'm most worried about the unfamiliar aspect. Gotta think that's to the pitchers early advantage.

Steve, your one of the posters I usually tail. I'm going 4 units on the Jays -1.5 as think there will be energy with all the new adds in Toronto that isn't typical from north of the border baseball fans and thinking the Jays will go deep a couple of times. If Masterson can keep the ball down, then I'm in trouble.
