Damn my client's .09 stock as of a few weeks ago broke through it's 52 week high of .32 yesterday and closed at .48 today. They just announced a national advertising campaign for their pain killer and it's now in Walgreens. Ticker: xcho.ob

Pretty cool watching my client make $54k today; about $200k in past few weeks. Wish I had 600,000 shares =\

I picked up a little Toyota last week, when it fell. It is a very good company, and they will recover with in 6 months. I didn't go nuts however because I think the market will be on the downward spiral of death this year. If you put up the chart from the stock market crash way the eff back in the stone aged days of the 1929. You can see the chart for the s&P is very similar. The market plunges then it rebounds up to 50%, then it cascades down until it reaches the ultimate low. I think that this will happen again. Investors are very fickle, and allot of baby boomers are nervous. If the market continues to slide a little bit, they will leave quickly. I'm still shorting allot of good momentum stocks that now have their 25 DMA curling back down, and crossing over the 50 DMA.
In the short run however, the market may move up and retest the 11,000 area. The dollar is getting stronger on the weakness of the Euro, but it hasn't hurt my commodity mining plays like GDX,AUY,PCU, and a few others. The dollar simply can't continue on this pace, the FED will step in and beat it down soon enough to get the exports up. They have too, if they don't they won't be able to show a good GDP in the next quarter.

They have no debt and share price is equivalent to book value at this price. Im betting the bad news on earnings and revenue has been priced in by the last 18 day sell off, thus the lack of any sell off today. Will set a stop on Monday after seeing where it opens. No target price as of yet. Will update as usual.

Closed at $2.55 last Friday 2/12/10, Im looking for an exit point around $2.75 this week, or to place a stop there if it moves up past that point. JMO

Bought GDX at 40.78 last week, and will buy today some GDXJ for around 25.00 in several minutes.

                  2.16.2010 Holding long.

Got Suncor last week too for 28.86

Crude for a good rally then sell. Gold for long.

Well the dollar pulled back and then went up to retest the highs of just a couple of days ago. This is my signal that the gold miners could be ripe for a run finally. As I already have allot of AUY, PAAS, GDX, and others, I will wait for another comformation, because it looks like the commodities for the short run are heading slightly downward. It won't last, but there is definitely selling pressure to bear if you get in these right now. In the long run, it is basically a lock to go up this year. Also looking at maybe starting to short some of the banks. They have been lagging lately, while the S&P makes a run towards the highs for the year. So if the S&P can't get above the highs for the year, it is short city for me.

Get on the DELL Feb. 14 puts boys. They expire tomorrow and a 2% drop will put them at the money. Earnings are tonight after the bell. So far the pattern has been sell off despite earnings beats (though I think Dell falls short). The major reason this is a good play is because these puts are selling for $.15-.20 each and the open interest ballooned about 30 times today.

Will know if this one works tomorrow by the close but its a cheap shot at a Dell downside.

Dell meet expectations and they are selling the news after hours. If I can get to 13.79 it will be break even inclusive of fees.

Looks like the market will sell off tomorrow thanks to a spook from the fed. They are raising discount rates.

I hope your right about the sell off tomorrow, but something tells me that for some reason the market will rally. It really shouldn't. The market has been going up for the last 3 days on light volume. It would be great for the banks to lead the way down, especially since I'm short WFC. GS has had a hard time of it lately, and they are the leaders in the financial industry. Also the dollar has been hanging in there but it too has had light volume the last couple of days. Come on baby, just one time with a giant pull back tomorrow to spook everyone into selling would be awesome for the way my portfolio is set up right now. The only thing I'm missing is a oil service/ refiner stock.

Selling half my DELL puts to close right now for a decent profit of about .4/contract. Going to see how the rest of the day shapes up and i might sell to close the other half or exercise if the price is right.

Its pullback time boys. I shorted LNCR early today, and I expect a downward spiral. Also like DAN to tank on the opening tomorrow after they report. Either way, it looks like the financials are un trouble. No volume on the upward movement means certain doom.
I also find it interesting that the dollar keeps going up on no volume either. It is starting to put a hurting on my commodities like gold and copper. Have some stones and double down your position in the next few days on gold and copper if you can take the pain. They will rebound hard.

Sorry Buzzy but looking at CYCC it looks like a lotto ticket to me. They have a one track pipeline and their fundamentals are in the crapper. If you want to gamble on micro cap bio why not get a micro cap bio ETF. That way you get exposure to a diverse pipeline of products. Maybe I am too conservative or don't have the information you do... My $.02

Balls or not, it is a dangerous play in my opinion, of course that's is why the upside potential is so high.

Who thinks the dollar finally falls next week. I do, and the reason why is simple. The dollar needs to go down so the market will move up, the plunger team has been doing all they can do lately, and the market is stuck. Of course it will remain in a training range for a while. Hopefully the s&P can move up to test the highs from earlier this year before it crumbles down to the 200 DMA.

Anyway, I bought a boatload more of AUY when it very briefly went below 10 bucks on Thiursday, and it finally looks like it may have some legs to run, after a extended wait through that whole Greece thing.

Also it is about time for oil and oil services to make a move. Look out for a dog stock ENER. It has been beaten down like a rented mule lately, but I stepped in with just a 50 share start so I am forced to watch it. It is right on pretty good support at around the $7.35 area, but I will let it go another point before I leave. If it starts making higher highs however, I will step in and give it some juice.

DAN has defied me on the reporting. They had suck numbers and briefly dipped so I bought my short position back. Why, well because on the conference call they were talking about recalls of product, and with all that negative news, I just knew the stock would scream, and look at it, up almost 50 cents since they reported Wednesday.

Stock has fallen 18 straight trading days ($2.90 to $2.20), they reported earnings last night and missed small on revenue and eps. They have no debt and share price is equivalent to book value at this price. Im betting the bad news on earnings and revenue has been priced in by the last 18 day sell off, thus the lack of any sell off today. Will set a stop on Monday after seeing where it opens. No target price as of yet. Will update as usual.

                                                                  later

A lower high, just a little confirmation of a market turning to the downside. I see this pattern starting and continuing all year boys. A sell off, then a rally up to lower highs.

I thinks that I just see a down trend starting soon, maybe tomorrow. IWM and QQQQ might make lower highs on tomorrows opening on the 15 minute chart, and if they do, I will step in with a modest short on both, and probably XLF, or some bank.
