My Brother in law is Indian, and he's not offended. Don't assume they need you to be offended for them. I was raised next to a res out west. Growing up, you often saw Indians wearing Redskins jackets. That was their choice, not yours. They also call themselves Indians or Natives. Never Native Americans. That term is a dead giveaway. The funny thing is, in a generation ot two, none of the children will have a point of reference or interest in natives or their culture, because all the relevant marketability and history of it will be erased.
