This was my advice in this thread, that if you were gonna take this bet, might as well just bet the guy who thought would beat Nadal, and you know it's gonna be at least the semis or finals.

So could have had Novak at +220 to win this match, instead of -110 basically.

Good win though either way.

betting against Rafa in a big spot at Roland Garros has worked just 3 times in the last 17 French Open's (2005 through 2021 inclusive) so congrats on getting this one.

it will be interesting to see how Rafa looks in two weeks on the Wimbledon grass...................

Nadal's game is well suited to grass. Djokovic is too big a favorite to win that tournament. I think it's closer than people think. I think Federer will make a deep run with a chance to win as well, and Raonic or anyone with a fast kick serve is dangerous on grass.

You were right yes, my mistake even though I never thought Djokoking would be at +220 especially after Rome final which was very close, and in the first post I explained why best of 5 sets no longer favors Rafa, even on clay, unless he wins quickly which he did until the quarters. Anyway a winner so everything ends well

This year he was really subpar on clay, that's why I rushed a little on this bet. It's normal to see him declining even on his best surface. I noticed from the very first round against Popyrin he wasn't feeling great.
