An important thing to note: the current head to head for Novak/Nadal is 29 - 27. If Nadal wins today and at RG (if Novak reaches the final), they will be even. If it was a hard court tournament, Nadal would have left before the semifinals.

It matters if he's making a greatest of all time claim. Nadal vs Federer head to head is 24 - 16. What if Novak gets injured and never gets to 22 or 23 gland slams? It's possible.

Who's gonna beat Nadal 3 sets? None of these best of 3 tournaments mean anything. Beating Nadal 3 sets on clay is the toughest feat in any sport, in sports history. How many times has it been done in the last 16 years?

That will give you a more accurate percentage.

My question would be how motivated joker even is to win today since he's made it no secret he's all about the grand slam record? I remember well connors showing nothing to lendl in cincy and Canada finals to set up us open finals in 82-83. If I'm either one I'm all about using today to set up stuff to work for French Open.

Physically I see a big decline in him, will need to win a lot of matches in straight sets to have a chance to go all the way. Can't see him happening, he is playing terrible and youngsters have now the physical advantage over him. The guy is turning 35 next month.
