Pretty dicey situation in the MAC now with their presidents meeting tomorrow, per sources. Potential play is to punt on the fall season with NIU and a couple of other programs in a bad financial spot. The lack of guarantee $$ games makes paying for testing protocols difficult.

There is definitely a strong, very strong, notion to play in the spring.

If we're still reeling from the virus and weighing these same decisions in the spring, I have a feeling the resumption of sports isn't going to be our biggest worry.

Might be wrong, but I see 0% chance of any college sports. Universities are pathetic and weak institutions that will bow to any complaint from any percentage of their students/staff. They are also extremely slow to adapt. There is no way they'd be able to figure out how to have sports 'safely', especially if the athletes are going to then mix back in with the regular student population.

Far too much risk and cost to play NCAAF and literally no reward with the exception of big TV contracts.

Playing no football is cheaper than playing football, and with the millions at stake, it matters.

Looks like fall college football is all but dead. The nfl should work on contingency type schedules if they want a chance. ST Louis baseball has played 5 games in like 3 weeks (counting this cancellation). The dumbasses will now be able to play every day of the week, most importantly Friday and Saturday. Since they think it’s ok to play Sunday and then Thursday, you would think they can squeeze 4 games into 2 or 2 and a half weeks if they have to for some teams if an outbreak occurs

MLB got through it and is finding a way to work around it. Perhaps NFL can too, esepcially if they can plan some extra weeks "just in case" or something like that.

It's a tough one for sure, especially with the nature of the NFL. You have to believe that club to club transmission is going to be far higher than the almost none with MLB.
