#214Well I guess my big picture was, you can't use the university as an exclusive sporting facility that gives preference and access to athletes and not students.Originally posted by homie1975Minny, Great point. But if all students are remote incl the "student athletes" I'm not so sure it's a very bad look because the avg American just wants to see football.
It's actually a better and safer optic imo if students are all remote
But football players wana get laid so there's that part too
IE Joe the jock can go workout and play games on campus but Patti the protestor can't use the University library?Comment -

If not for the money, the season would've been scrapped by now at each of the power 5 schoolsComment -

#229Then why are AD's working overtime to concoct a schedule to accommodate the "new normal" of Corona culture when they could easily just pull the plug on the season now, or, even easier, say nothing at all? They are obviously working towards something. It will be compromised, but it beats having nothing at all.Originally posted by flyingilliniNo way in hell will there be college football.Comment -

#230Because there is too much money at stake. #231But if it weren't realistic, they'd be resigned to the fact and put the kibosh on things. It's not like they're obligated to lip service the public. They're brainstorming strategies because they're genuinely trying to make it happen. I mean I have my doubts too, but I think odds are more favorable than the "slim and none" mood of this thread.Originally posted by RockBottomBecause there is too much money at stake. #234I get that, but what difference does it make to us fans whether their motivations are "pure" or mercenary? None. They are striving towards an amended season is the point. I give it greater odds of happening than "a snowball's chance in hell" which seems to be the common thought.Originally posted by homie1975Money Money Money.

Eddie I can tell you love CFB and so do i, it is without question my favorite sport, but without a bubble it cannot survive more than 3 or 4 games realistically, and having a bubble is simply too expensive for 90% of the schools and I doubt the conferences would want to pay for it either.Comment -

#236NO ONE, including you people who think you know it all and know very little, if anyting at all about wagering in general and College Football specifically, can predict what will happen. Homie claims to be the biggest Pac 12 Football fan around, yet I have forgotten more about Pac 12 Football than he has ever known. Just kick back and relax and see what develops. You guys should be happy if the season gets canned. You will not lose as much money this year as you usually do.Comment -

BigDaddy just a month or so ago you said NO COLLEGE FOOTBALL but now you are saying no one knows but you know?? flip flop much??
you cannot make this stuff up!!!
here's the truth: NO BUBBLE = NO COLLEGE FOOTBALL. no chance it can survive a 10 game season or whatever.
tops 3 games max per team if No BubbleComment -
