Hedging is for professional players, who're online 24/7 + on the longterm you're losing a lot if you win your initial bets. When I'm confient pregame about someone winning, I don't change mind when he's 7-6 5-3 up. Cecchi was a bad beat but we move on, that's sport. What's funny even +3 games spread would be lost - that's TERRIBLE beat if someone played it.
As for sets handicap - you're losing a lot of value and I think you lose some profit in the long-term betting live underdogs +1.5 instead of ML.
Of courde just my subjective opinion.

Meh it's not that simple. Need to be watching a match to get a feel for the flow of the match. Sometimes a hedge is +EV. Same as any bet you make.
