Thank you, Tony.
I wasn't paying attention to the clock.
Had this thread open for the last 20 minutes and got distracted.
I just realized after I posted that 2 games had already started and came back to state this.

congratulations to poster b1slickguy, as he hit it right on the nose ! with 222 strikeouts
he wins the 100 betpoints
I have also decided to give poster yisman ( 218 strikeouts ) 50 betpoints as well because it might be argued that the winner didn't make the posted deadline
but did post before my closed post and before the first batter was finished with his at bat.
congratulations to both posters

I would like to address the elephant in the room:
Several of us obviously had a seizure and calculated this based on how many k's one side would probably avg. per game. I don't know why this happened but it happened a lot in this thread

Yeah, I noticed that as well I wanted to post “people it’s 14 games not 14 teams but 28 teams” of course I bit my lip.
Been doing this type of stuff for years, on paper yesterday’s card figured to be about 180 k’s not 220+ proof positive that hitters are swinging for the fences much to much,’as the art of contact hitting is non existent these days.
Bring back the four man rotation, I can’t stomach these ‘openers’ and bullpens by committee, forget the pitch count if a pitcher is still strong after 90 pitches leave him be.
I love a Bob Gibson/Steve Carlton 2-1 game. Enough of these 12-8 homer tests.
The great Jim Leyman quit managing Rox in 1999 stating I can’t manage 14 run games in Coors.
I’ve always been stats and numbers geek and I say 75 percent of saber metrics numbers apply and are relevant but enough of this arc stat and apex and launch angle, if the fence is 400 feet and the ball clears the fence by two feet for a 402 foot homer it counts the same as a power hitting a homer 480 feet over the same wall. A homer is a homer.
