Imagine if someone bet $10k on a +200 dog! that would be like easy $20k profit in 3 hours!

What is the difference? Bitcoin hodling = gambling, plain and simple.

I know it would be easier to get $20k out of Pinnacle than getting $20k out of some exchanges.

I think the difference is +200 might turn into +300, then +400, then +800, etc.... The bet that keeps on giving..... Just takes longer than the quick score...

Someone deposited $100m worth of bitcoin on Coinbase yesterday.

And did they take it off at 4:30 today? That was a sharp drop, but it did recover bounce back quickly.

Yes but this current run to $13K has been well over a year in the making, with lots of ups and downs in between. So getting in at the exact right time isn't easy, plus you gotta have some pretty big stones to put large sums of money in something so volatile. I couldn't do it. Props to those that can. True. You also have to have pretty big stones to bet 10K on a +200. Not sure I would make that bet. 10K on +400 and +800 would be out of the question. On the other hand, I have no trouble betting 10K on Bitcoin (and I have) and waiting for the ship to come in....

People that bought at the exact wrong time in Dec'17 and Jan'18 and held throughout the bear market can now see light at the end of the tunnel. Once Bitcoin crosses 20K (and it sure looks like it might just do that sometime soon), it doesn't matter when you bought - you made money. That's a good bet....

I realize that is too slow for some, but I don't have any trouble with it...

Big traders are shorting. The little guy is buying and some of the bitcoin whales are having a lot of fun.

Correct. Institutional investors are shorting CME futures.

However, that doesn't mean it won't go up a bit first. That's what I'm banking on.

Look at that rebound, shows how strong the market is. But also so much money has been traded that markets can be moved easily now. Market books need more volume in bid/ask to prevent these huge swings.

Yes, this is a great time to buy. Coinbase being down temporarily isn't going to affect the market for long, especially once it comes back up and is back to normal.

I also went through the 2013 bear market from $1200 to $200. Now I don't worry much about recoveries even if it takes a couple years.

Yesterday morning someone left a sell order up on Bitquick for 0.161 BTC for $1800 including fee (~$11200/btc) when btc was at $12600. Felt quite good about free $200 or so. Now I don't feel as good lol.

Much needed resistance though, good to see it.

Even with the pullback, it’s in a clear bull trend. No sustained resistance. Have nearly 0.4 BTC exposure and for once I’m not that concerned about exchange rate. Similar to high stakes poker, forget about the amount and just play well. Standard bet size.
