#3329Probably pretty big, it's not uncommon for a huge sell off at the start of a recession to regain half of the losses before another leg down.Originally posted by keely85Jobs will be down for a while and companies will shed dead weight.

#3335printing money and injecting it into the system absolutely = inflation. the question is when does it start.Originally posted by d2betsWhat is the likely ultimate effect of QEinfinity? Are we looking at massive inflation down the road?Comment -

#3336So before it starts, you want to lock in costs as much as possible:Originally posted by homie1975printing money and injecting it into the system absolutely = inflation. the question is when does it start.
a. be a homeowner with a low fixed rate. Personally, I say a larger house in a community that is not too packed in. Have space to work at home.
b. lock down long-term reliable transportation. But don't overspend on fancy. Reliability.
c. if you have space, stock up on shelf-stable food options
I'm sure there are other things, but in two years you will probably not want to be a renter or be looking to buy a house. If you can, better to do it now. Am I wrong?Comment -

#3338The stimulus was priced in last week, thus the +1300 day midweek.Originally posted by keely85so when does that start typically happen? (just asking as im less knowledgable) after the stimulus finally goes through? when the money actually arrives?
Now it's uncertain and it's delay will be priced in again thus driving us lowerComment -

#3344lol, they figure if we're gong full socialism retard here, we might as well throw in student debt, etc.
Americans should vote...print and borrow another 2 trillion, or just liquidate the kids' accounts.
Next generation probably better off inflation wise. We vote in Dems and Repubs, but what we really got were socialists.

#3345Notice again NASDAQ outperforming. There are going to be tech companies that are going to benefit big time. Tech will be more important than ever. Tech doesn't need physical presence, that's the whole point. Sure it's challenging, but good tech companies are built for this.Comment -

If they are going to forgive 30,000 in student debt per borrower, maybe they should also send 30g's to those of us who worked our way through school and maybe made the decision go to less expensive schools as to not get ourselves in debt.
Why don't we just cancel all debt everywhere and start from scratch. While we are at it, let's just print everyone a billion dollar bill and we can all start with a billion. Seems fair.Comment -

#3352Well another day of losses to finish another 600 lower than before. Now this stimulus package is key to some short term support. If tomorrow gets to around 3:00 with no deal. Toss a dart at the board and short that stock. Same thing happened in 2008. The market sent a message that couldn't be ignored. We will probably see that again before that cat bounces off the bottom like a super rubber ball. It's all temp however as the death toll will eventually rule the day for a more substantial rally.Comment -
