My finger is itching to press the buy button on MIOTA, before I say anything I would love to hear any unbiased thoughts/opinions on IOTA. I did as much research as I possibly can on it and seems to me that this will be a home run in 2018. I'll explain my views after I hear what others have to say first.

I think a lot of people on this forum agree with you, myself included. I think that a handful of the 1000+ cryptos out there will become everyday currencies over the next few years. A good argument can be made that IOTA has the potential to be in that handful. IOTA's "Tangle" has a lot of potential.

The "Tangle" is one of the most contributing factors that has me SOLD!!!! If you simply Google what the energy costs are for Blockchain technology, the numbers are insane. On top of that IOTA (unlike most ,) actually has intrinsic value in the form of ZERO transaction fees. Whether your a merchant or a consumer, transaction fees add up. So I actually see value in that aspect alone.

I understand why people like shocka hate on Ripple because it's a mostly centralized coin operating in a decentralized world. It doesn't make it a scam. I've bought at 29c, 55c and 69c and have made out like a bandit so far thanks to XRP. Friends, family, co-workers have all jumped on the XRP train with me.

Seems to be a "dip" we are in. I have about 5k USD I am ready to invest. Probably better to make some purchases now instead of after Jan 1, 2018, right? I just don't trust them. in whats supposed to be a decentralized market, they themselves control the supply in circulation. to be honest, it can be manipulated more than the American dollar (usd) so whats the point. i bought it along time ago at 30 cents. i use quadrigcx to buy bitcoin then used an exchange to buy the xrp cant remember the name tbh i think it was bitstamp there are quite a few now.

Ripple goes against what crypto stands for. That being said the bankers have a pretty good track record of winning. I own some just as a hedge.
