With futures opening, the market is going to see crazy volatility this week. I think that's why we're seeing red today, some people getting scared off.

The old money thinks it has found a way to do some manipulating.

for the 8000th time.. smallest contract is for 5 BTC... (roughly 65k USD)... they're going to have to throw some big money around to start a downward trend...only thing I think this will do is keep the price honest and less volatile.

Well on Friday night I was logged into Gdax for a few hours watching the Litecoin trading go bananas. The "depth chart" view of the Order Book prices showed a aggregate total of about $5.5 million worth of Litecoin between the current price at the time, about $145 each, going to a price around $195 each.

To my surprise that night, someone or something started mass buying chunks until the price rose to the $170's and eventually yes $195'ish, which then triggered a sell program leading the price back down around $150. So it took about $5.5 million to spike the price of LTC near $195 each. Keep in mind the Litecoin price had started Friday just under $100 per coin.

I know there is even less liquidity in Litecoin trading than Bitcoin, but very surprising that Gdax would have $5.5 million buys in the span of a few hours, plus the subsequent selloff reversal. And I hadn't been logged on earlier that day to see what it looked like going from $100 up to $145.

Meantime pulling up the Bitstamp exchange, the prices were less than available on Gdax at the exact same time span. So initially I woulda thought arbitrage traders might be trying to buy LTC on Bitstamp at lower prices, and simultaneously sell LTC on Gdax at higher prices. But that did not appear to be the situation as there was heavy buying happening in Gdax.

pending transaction on coinbase since 12/6. I know you guys have said I get the litecoin at the price I inititally bought it at 12/6 and I sure hope so. Up over $180 now and I would be pissed if the 5 day pending transaction costs me

that's how Coinbase usually does it and supposed to do it, Sam. They lock in the price at time of purchase.

I have heard of them cancelling orders before tho. It's been a long while since hearing that happen, maybe over a year ago.

You'll get it at the contract price which is what your receipt shows

You are just unable to be liquid with that money until whatever date is stated, probably the 15th or so.

doesn't even have a pending date for it to clear. They took out the money next day, just want it to clear to keep some in litecoin and move some to binance to trade on some other ones
