BYU -7 vs Miss State looks too easy!

Friday night game at BYU. MSU has been utter garbage while BYU has played strong. What am I missing here? This looks like a 2 TD victory easily

Mac, I disagree here. BYU hasn't put 4 quarters of solid play together in any of their games this season. I think they get the win, but win a tight one. Lean, Mo' Cow Bell.

I think the line is off. BYU is stronger than a 7 point favorite IMO. MissSt has nothing anywhere that scares anybody. BYU shows no fear on the road. Taysom Hill playing a lot better. I like the mormons here.

IMO BYU should NEVER be a 7pt favorite.. & Mississippi state isnt as bad as they appeared against auburn. Miss state had opportunities to turn that game around just couldnt execute.. BYU could win SU but covering the spread is still up in the air..

I hadn't really looked at this game before reading this thread, but having done so, I think the spread is a bit steep. I don't think it's a great idea to start giving away a full touchdown with this BYU squad, especially with a butthurt SEC team on deck. I'm leaning strongly with Cowbell Nation on this one.

BYU has played a solid schedule thus far, Zona, Utah, UCLA, West Virginia a good quality Toledo team and beat a sucky but no cupcake Mich St. That's a very strong lineup and they have been competitive in every game. They are 7 points total from being undefeated. Now they play a Moo State team that haven't beaten anyone of note. Lost to a South Alabama team, barely beat UMass and got blown out by Auburn who rested starters in the 2nd half. Mullen is a dead man walking. They will not renew his contract and he won't find another $4 Million/year gig. This is a bad matchup for MSU. They can't pass the ball and BYU has a good defensive line versus the rush. Their defense is okay but BYU's offense has been getting better plus the game is being played at altitude. MSU has been known to come on strong in the 2nd half but probably not in Lavell.

I'm not seeing MSU getting pumped up for this game.

There's some really, really bad SEC teams out there like Vandy, Kentucky, Mizzou and Miss State. Miss State is probably the worst SEC team right now.

this is not a complete opinion, just some thoughts..........\

seen quite a bit of BYU on TV this year and haven't been terribly impressed...... was very surprised at Mich State result which i didn't see on TV though.

don't know much about Miss State but they should have far superior players than BYU.. again was surprised at result vs. Auburn (???) last week.

on power rating, BYU is slightly better. of course power rating based on recent play would show huge BYU advantage.

college has alot of variability and a fair amount of bounce back. i think mullen is a good coach too..

Simple rule for BYU home games. They always cover against shitty teams and never cover against quality teams. Better games on the board especially given this is a Friday night game. Weather could be a factor.

I think BYU has played a slightly tougher schedule to date. They are 5-1 ATS. Potentially a little undervalued.

Short week for both teams, but MSU has to travel to Provo and play a game that starts at 9:15 CST.

Probably a small play on the 'cougs.
