#9I'm with my boy Gritter on this one......no need to overthink this one...New England is finally healthy and this game is their middle finger to the NFL for all of the spygate, deflategate, and whatever other gate shit...Broncos were extremely lucky to beat the Steelers last week and with Big Ben playing with torn ligaments and other injures...Pitts defense shut down the Broncos for the most part and they suck compared to the Pats...on the other hand, Pats destroyed the hottest team in the NFL in the KC chiefs ...Edelmen also had lots of drops that game...don't expect that to happen again....with a healthy Amendola, Gronk, and Edelmen, and not to mention the other weapons Brady has, this will be like taking candy from a baby...New England rolls 31 - 17...

#27...There has been much discussion on SBR about consensus numbers and bet totals often listed on the internet. Bettors often like to see who the “public” is on and think this information can help them. Sometimes it can.
I’ve posted a few times about how these numbers don’t have to be accurate and the sources often can be questioned. I’ve mentioned that nobody has any responsibility towards the accuracy of those numbers.
Let me clarify something. Many websites put up “consensus numbers” which is simply a tally of posts, contests, etc. of where the traffic on that website, or group of websites, would be betting, if they were placing money.
I shouldn’t have to explain too much about the difference between what one would play, if one were betting, and what one would actually play if money was at stake. Often times there is a difference between picking a team for fun or contest, and actually putting your money where your typing fingers are.
This difference makes many of these consensus numbers worthless...Comment -

In this situation I almost feel like you might have to go with the Broncos by default. One big factor is something I was also looking at 2 years ago, which is that it's an early 1pm game which favors Manning and not New England. Not the typical Championship game and not the typical New England playoff win. There's no night time game, no big lights or big stage, instead it's those early day games that run fast, that Manning thrives in, the ones that move at a much faster pace, the precursor to the main event, the game that comes on early where before you're getting settled in with your food, you barely blink and it's already the 3rd quarter and Denver's defense has held on a lot of third downs and NE has hardly been on the field.
More recent era Patriots teams always struggle against teams with good defenses, and always put themselves in the situation of not being able to run out the clock late, and having the ball in the other teams hands to either score a go-ahead TD late, or not. Look at their two Superbowl losses, or even the games they won such as the Seattle Superbowl with a stop at the very end and the Ravens 2012 AFC Championship game where the Ravens dropped the game-winning TD pass and then shanked the game-tying FG. Those games and others were all played out identically. I don't think NE can put them away just as it's been in any tight NE matchup in the last 8 years, especially in this type of 1pm game, on the road, out in Denver where they've struggled, so Denver should have more than enough opportunities to win it in a game that moves fast where each possession really counts.
For the record if this game were in New England I wouldn't be surprised if NE won by more than 14 points. Even on a neutral field, New England is the better team I'd say. But Brady has always struggled in Denver, even in the 2 that he's won. One was from 2003 when it took a big late defensive stop and a go-ahead TD to win in the closing seconds, while the only other win, people might forget that they heavily struggled early and dropped down by 2 scores, before eventually being able to come back. Every other game there, they've lost. I feel the location and the timing/conditions could play a much bigger factor in this game than I think people are giving it credit for.Comment -

#30simple stuff bitches
If denver plays well and manning doesnt make turnovers. They win
If he doesn't, then it will be close.
Odds are we see a rule in this game we don't know about , or at least most, since i know them all and there will be catches overturned that are really catches, etc.
Holding calls with no holding.
Terrible playcalling.
Prevent defense at the wrong times.
Either way, we know Brady will complain and be a crybaby the entire game. We do know that.

#35Unless Belichick keels over from a heart attack, and Brady breaks his throwing arm before half-time, the Broncos do not have a snowballs chance in hell of winning this game. Winning $'s with Pats ML @-160 will be as easy as taking candies from babies.Comment
