Not seeing how, the guy got out of his car, and actively went to block and get in front of stewart's car. he stood there as the came closer, and closer, and closer.

if you watch as you claimed, you see stewarts car swerve towards him . Did kid make a mistake confronting him there yeah maybe but Stewart has raced long enough to know what he is doing. It was a 17 year old kid for fukks sake

Is it normal in racing for someone to get out of a car and try to confront another car coming down the track? That part of it is pretty weird to me. Seems like that was horrible judgment by the kid, you're asking for trouble, accident or not.

smaller local tracks don't have officials like a Nascar race. Seen it at small track here at times. Thank goodness never with this outcome

yeah after watching the vid, i dont see how charges will be filed on Stewart. Hate to see it happen but the kid should not have got out and went after Tony ON THE RACE TRACK!!

Holy shit, this is crazy. I hate to even say the kid should have never got out on the track like that since it seems he may have died. Tony fcked up though, can't hit the damn kid. Not sure what to think except it's a tragedy for the kid to lose his life. Tony has a temper but damn, did he really intentional hit someone out of their car.

Watched it a few times...no doubt the kid shouldn't have run so far out there but think about it like this, from hearing the engine rev up....where Tony was since he was probly on headset discussing what happened on the initial wreck when he wrecked the kid....it wasn't but a few seconds....possibly the engine was revved because he realized he was hitting the kid and gunned it to try and avoid? Just a thought. Less than 30 seconds after the crash...the #45 blue car almost nailed him as well...gonna be interesting either way.

I understood from reading what everyone here and elsewhere said that the kid got out, stood next to his car and started yelling and making gestures and TS came out of nowhere and hit him. That doesn't seem to be the case at all, he got out and was walking all the fukk over the track, several cars zoomed by him, any of them could have hit the kid. Thoughts to his family, kid was young.

Honestly, rip to the other driver but it was his fault for getting out on the track in a rage in the first place. He put himself in danger on purpose and lost his life because of it. Nothing will happen with Tony, and this will be a non-story in a couple of weeks unfortunately.

It looked like he was pointing at the blue car in front of TS. How the hell did he not get out of the way. Horrible move on Ward's part. I've always felt these race car drivers are idiots getting out and trying to get in front of speeding cars. Wait for the race to end.

I think Ward was 20 not 17. Either way, it's fukked up but should be a lesson to many to not get so emotional and lose common sense.
